Exploding Manhole on Clinton

For anyone who heard a big BOOM about fifteen mins ago, don't worry, it's just an exploding manhole on Clinton and Greene. Heh.No idea what caused it, but my lights were flickering, fire trucks came, cop cars blocked off Clinton, then an explosion. I went to investigate and was about 15 feet of the smoking manhole when it had a little explosion again, flames coming up, etc. I decided to go home after that before the ConEd gods burped in displeasure again. Anyone know exactly what happened?

I was wondering what happened. The cops blocked off Clinton from Gates to Lafayette. I thought it was another crime scene/foot chase

Whoa. It's scary when that happens. I was in Dumbo when this happened last year. There was an electrical fire under the street and it exploded and blew a manhole cover off.
