police on PPW

Does anyone know what was happening today, Sat. March 10th, on PPW between 13th-14th streets? I noticed a large number of police officers and they seemed to be surrounding the buildings facing the park....

I saw that too and was going to post about it. They seemed to have some special unit trucks and unmarked cars as well. That said, it didn't seem to be an emergency situation (since it looked like a bunch of them were standing outside chatting), unless it had already passed by the time I went by (around 1)

Saturday , March 10:
so I get a call from my cousin who lives on the corner of 13 street and ppw, and she tells me that her neighbor woke up and when he was using the bathroom he noticed a pair of eyes staring at him thru a hole in the wall and he ran out of the apartment screaming for help. Apparently the "perp" got stuck in the wall while making his way into the apartment.
