Looking to stay in the neighborhood

We just learned that we have to leave our beloved Prospect Heights 1BR + den apartment (landlord wants it for his personal use) and so we're on the lookout for something similar in the neighborhood. We are a relaxed, professional couple in their late 30s, non-smokers and with no pets. We have good credit and references, are easygoing but also have a steady employment history.

We're looking to stay nearer Flatbush, mostly for commuting reasons.

Check out Washington Realty on Washington Ave. near Lincoln. Pl. I just walked by their storefront. They seem to have some deals in that price range (if you don't mind venturing past Washington for some of them).
