There was a shooting late Saturday night (Sunday AM) at Po'k Knockers, at 956 Atlantic Ave., which is near the corner of Washington and Atlantic. Is that the one?

"BROOKLYN: BROTHER AND SISTER ARE ATTACKED A woman was shot in the head outside a Clinton Hill nightclub shortly before 5 a.m. yesterday when she and her brother were attacked after a fight in the club, the police said. The woman, Ebony King, 22, of 39 Auburn Place, was in critical condition yesterday at Kings County Hospital Center, and her brother, Leonard King, 20, was treated for stab wounds and released, the police said. According to the police, the fight started inside the club, Po'k Knockers, at 956 Atlantic Avenue, and spilled onto Lefferts Place. Ms. King may have been shot while defending her brother. The attacker or attackers fled. Michael Wilson (NYT)"

unfortunatly I'm talking about a different shooting. I def took place on St. Johns. I cop said that the guy lived. I news doesnt cover stories of shootings in a neighborhood like this if a person didnt die.

There was some shooting there last summer and all the kids booked out of there and were running down atlantic like a wild herd.

With all the stuff going on it seems like someone should start a neighborhood watch.

though a neighborhood watch sound good and nice it would be extremely dangerous. I city has trained pros with there own guns to stop these thugs. Maby we need to give the cops the authority that they need to stop crime. I am positive that a little ass whoopin would def help. We dont need watches we need beetings. Put fear in the thugs minds. Make them think twice about mugging someone!

That is my block (St Johns) and I heard nothing about it. What do you mean give the cops the authority that they need? I don't see anyone stopping cops from stopping crime.

I called the precinct and they confirmed the shooting. They also acted suspicious of me. I didn't do it! And for some reason I keep posting as guest accidently.

That really bothers me about the 77th Precinct. I called a few months ago to confirm a mugging, and the lady who answered the phone hissed at me: "WE CAN'T GIVE THAT OUT TO YOU!"

Isn't this all supposed to be public information (with the exception of course of any details that could compromise an investigation)?

To be fair, when I got past the first phalanx, I got a very friendly lieutenant who was happy to confirm the crime for me...

    Subject: 77th

I called them once and the lady told me that they weren't my precinct. I had to tell her that they were. She then put me on hold to go check. THen finally came back and said I was right.

He doesn't need a secret identity, he's PARK MAN!
None of the eco-friendly heros have secret identities. They like to keep it real.
Aquaman, Apache Chief, Captain Planet... Uhm, are there any more?
