At the risk of being attacked for my taste in television programming, is anybody else disappointed at not having the FX Network and therefor missing the Nip/Tuck season premier tonight? If so, please call Cablevision and request the FX channel. The more requests, the better the chance that they'll add the channel to our lineup. 718-617-3500 Call NOW! ;-)

DIRECTV has FX in its basic channels package. Dish Network has it, but it's part of a premium package.

Thanks for the info. Much as I'd like to watch N/T though, I don't want to switch to satellite. Guess I'll have to wait for it to come out on DVD.

I wish we had FX too. I wonder if phone calls really make a difference.

Looking at the channels I get on my digital cable, and seeing how many of them flat out suck, I am amazed FX isn't included.

    Nip/Tuck whatever

The best show on this goddamn rotating hunk of dirt is Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations", Monday nights at 10 on the travel network. It's MAD HOT!

When I called last night I was told that they keep a record of requests and that "helps" them determine which new channels to add to the lineup. It certainly couldn't hurt. It helped me get TechTV once upon a time.

    Subject: Good TV Shows

As a fan of Jason Lee (funny bastard!), I was really curious when I found out that he was going to star in a network series (I think that it's "Earl," or "My Name is Earl")... I watched it last night... It was goddamn funny- even my wife liked it! I don't know if the novelty will hold up for the full season and beyond, but I have high hopes!

I'm pretty upset about not having FX either, I LOVE Nip/Tuck. I called the cable company and requested it, and they said they've had a TON of people call in, so that it would be added. I got all excited but then she said the change could be "as soon as December!". :x

Argggghhhh, December! For the most impatient person in the world (that would be me) December is an AWFULLY long time away. I will have to set the TiVo to record every episode aired in re-runs. So sad.

I'm relatively sure that, once Arrested Development goes off the air, My Name is Earl and The Office will be the two best comedies on TV. Jason Lee is freakin' great as Earl (he's freakin' great as everything) and the auxiliary characters are pretty hilarious too.

Make sure you check out the "Quit Smoking" episode of My Name is Earl if you can, nybt, it's the best one thus far.

That one is good, but I also liked the one with the girlfriend that thought Earl was dead...

Any shows worth checking out on that channel?
What about BBC America? I'd definatly check that one out from time to time.

Thank you! I love Nip/Tuck! Was cursing Cablevision for not having f/x. Just caught the last 15 minutes of it. Yay! I never would've known if I hadn't checked dh.

This is great news. Thank god cablevision added F/X. Now if only F/X would pick up Arrested Development...

Subject: Re: FX Network-We get it try channel 78

I have cablevision and have fx now- I didn't before and so I never looked for it- but I looked Monday and I have it- channel 78. Maybe it is temporary.-Oh and you don't have to get IO, unless you want it- IO just gives you $10.00 more and gives you channels between 100 and up. They never made this clear to me and just started charging me for channels I didn't know I had and never told me about- I just thought there service expanded. I even asked them and they said "It's IO"- I never knew. You still get the guide.
I have been fighting with cablevision for years.
    I'm at Prospect and Vanderbilt.

    Subject: Nip/Tuck

I really enjoy watching Nip/Tuck. However, I have never seen an episode on TV. I have to wait the entire season to get the DVD and then go through some crazy N/T weekend and watch them all. I hate Cablevision and can not stand the thought of actually calling them. I agree, cable without FX blows but Cablevision is worse.
