Daily Heights Happy Hour at Soda 11/19

Look people, I am transporting an actual live German to this thing. He's never taken the subway before, so I have to teach him how to buy a ticket, navagate the system, change trains, etc...

It was a big night for my German of the Month. First time in Brooklyn, first time on the subway, first time interacting with the menagerie of freaks, I mean, DH crew ... And he. loved. it.

He thanked me so much for bringing him, he liked everyone he met, and he especially enjoyed finally getting to hear some "real English".

I'm now putting him into heavy social rotation. We are entertaining invitations, but I warn you, we are a packaged set. :P

I thought "homeland" was a better choice than "Fatherland" in the circumstances.

Here's something to think about while the board is off on a fairly serious Real Estate/Construction tilt:

Are you guys playing Pictionary? That's like seriously my favorite game of all time. Particularly when accompanied with alcoholic beverages.

I might have to actually come.

I think I would've shown my face this past week if I hadn't been sick (cough, cough). I haven't played pictionary in ages... I hope I'll make it next week.

Might be time to intro myself and the wife to the DH happy hour crew. Sepia's our usual haunt, esp. since Soda yanked the pool table (ok, they had a few fights over it, but still)..

So, what, 6ish at Soda?
