sick dog? looking for input

i leave my 10.5 month-old puppy in her crate every weekday when i go to work. three times in the past month and a half ive come home to a crate full of diarrhea. upon taking her out, she usually as a bit more to expel, and at the end there is usually a little bit of blood. she acts completely normal (eating, drinking, running, playing) and is totally fine for the rest of the night and the next day. should i be worried or should i just assume that she ate something that she shouldnt have or maybe just has a sensitive stomach? any input is appreciated.

If there is blood in her stool, take her to the vet IMMEDIATELY.

let me clarify. there is NO blood in the diarrhea in her cage. the blood is not actually in the poop. the blood comes AFTER she has gotten everything out and she still tries to poo more. im thinking the few drops of blood are just from having so much diarrhea and straining to go to the bathroom. and we're not talking about a lot of blood -- just a few drops after she has gotten all the diarrhea out. does this change your opinion?

My dog has diarrhea like you decribed about once a month. (With a few drops of blood at the end.) It usually lasts about one to 5 days. If it doesn't clear up in a few days, you should take her to the vet. But from what my vet told me, irritation from eating nonedible things (like sticks, rocks, dental floss etc..) can scratch the small instestine and there can be blood for days to even a couple of weeks. I have stopped worrying about a few drops of bright red blood. Large amounts of dark blood or clots needs immediate attention. My vet also told me to watch for changed in appetite and behavior before rushing him to the vet every time. We live in the city and my dog eats EVERYTHING!

thanks. for my dog, it clears up right away and she is fine the next day. the blood is also bright red, not dark or clotted, which sounds good. she also eats, drinks, and behaves normally. ok, i feel a bit better. thanks again!
