Doing 2 bathrooms and 1 kitchen. these are for walls. i got earth color porcelain tiles for floors.

I'm going with white subway tiles(D) for all the bathrooms and kitchen.

for large bathroom trim, i think i want B tile.
for kitchen I would use C tile.
for small bathroom trim, how would A tile work? or should i go with B?

or should i go with C for kitchen and small and big bathrooms?

kitchen gets very little light, big bathroom gets okay light, small bathroom has no windows very dark.

I need to let contractor know by tomorrow morning. just got some time this morning to pick out tons different ones and these are the ones i came up with :/.

I'll put my two cents in. As an apartment dweller, I like it when landlords use the most simple, neutral, but quality materials possible, so that I can decorate the rooms to suit my own preferences. I don't like any of these tile choices. I would prefer a plain, simple tile with no pictures!

It's good that you used real ceramic tile for the floors rather than that stick-on linoleum stuff.

ditto - if this is for a tenant, go for something much simpler and neutral

for what it's worth, I agree with leet. All subway tile looks really clean and nice, and you can accessorize to suit your taste.

and, the white subway tile will look great w/an earth color floor tile.

    less is more!

I vote yes. Subway tiles look nice because they are simple and clean looking.

Black trim w/ earth-tone floors? Blech.

Maybe if you had a different colored floor, but not w/earth colors.

    My two cents.

using any of tiles A, B, or C will diminish the value of your property both as a rental and at resale. All subway tile will be much better. The less patterns and more neutral the better unless you get some high end design done.

You want to appeal to the largest number of people and make sure that no one dislikes the tiles. They don't have to love them but you don't want people to hate them which they might if it's not neutral. As someone else said, you can dress up neutral to your own tastes. It's going to be a lot harder to cover up Hello Kitty.

    Oh no! I wouldn't.

If I rented an apartment with black painted moldings, I would paint them white after moving in.

Re: hello kitty...I like hello kitty, but if I had to look at a hello kitty wall every day of my life I think I'd start to loathe hello kitty.

I like the black molding, I think it's a nice frame for the white. But then I find too much white to be really freaking boring. If my current landlord had known I was going to move in, the super wouldn't have had to paint the whole place. The previous tenant painted the bedroom a beautiful shade of dark blue, almost the color of my hair!

Ouch. Flying cats in pink nightgowns? With options like these, archeologists digging up our bones and ceramics 1,000 years from now, will ask, "WHAT WERE THESE PEOPLE THINKING???"

I like the white tile with black border too -- not painted, just black tile edges. Contrast is nice in a border.

BTW, your contractor has bad taste if he was suggesting b and c.
    :D

I like the sample bathrooms you posted -- nice and plain, and ready for the occupant to work their own style.
