Spring 2008 Crown Heights Bar Crawl: Friday, April 25th
whatchuwant
Hello Everyone-
OK- the plan so far:
7:30-9pm: Ripple/Sepia- due to the fact that Ripple may or may not be open in light of recent events, we may just start at Sepia.
9-10:30: Franklin Park/95 South* (in the hopes that Franklin Park is open, this should be an excellent spot- we can break them in!)
*----> 95 South, ONLY if they can accommodate a large crowd at that hour.
**---->Anyone know when Abigail's is opening? She's on the path....
10:30-12: Starlight/Secrets- Dancin'...and people watchin' people dancin.'
All places are subject to change, but this is the basic schedule. Will get more specific with our locations as we get closer to the date.
Also, invite your friends so that they can see how cool you are and what an awesome neighborhood you live in....not that we need to prove ourselves.

Any questions, please feel free to post here or PM either me or Alafairnadia.
See you all soon!

bichaeli'm new to the neighbourhood (union and nostrand) and i'm in love already. how far away are these bars from, say, eastern parkway and franklin ? -
daverReally close. -
bichaelgreat. now i just have to polish my fancy dancing leg and i'm set- -
whatchuwantWow- your FANCY dancing leg! Ummmm, I for one am very excited to see that.
UPDATE: So, Ripple I offically off the list as it seems it is officially gone.
Secrets may also be off the list as I've learned from my sources that it may only be open for private functions (will get confirmation on that.)
9 DAYS AND COUNTING. -
lilbangladeshOh wah. I purposely chose to work second shift so I wouldn't have to conflict with my downstairs neighbors anymore (they go to bed late and like to have their tv on really loud), but NOW I'm seeing the downside.
Have fun, y'all. -

Oy! you don't even drink lady. why would you go on a "Bar Crawl??"
Have fun, y'all.
seriously though, dios mio, Le patina el coco. -
christinaI'll be there. It's been a while since my last HH. And thanks for making it a Friday. -
whatchuwant3 days folks! Don't spend all your money before Friday... :drunken: -
alafairnadiaand yay! it looks like franklin park will be opening up that night! woo hoo! -
MODCan we start the bar crawl there? or have it be at least the second stop. I want to check it out but I may not make it to all the bars. -
spriteI'm in. I've been missing these happy hours.

Franklin Park will probably remain the second stop- Since Ripple is no more, then I think making our first stop Sepia to pick up some of those random Prospect Heights people would just be the neighborly thing to do. I hear they're total alcoholics... -

So just because someone doesn't drink doesn't mean they don't socialize? Geez! Frankly, I enjoy watching people I know get soused while I drink my seltzers, but it's going to have to be another time. -
MODFor the sake of the mods I will save my comments on LB for the fun shit talkin' that will happen at the actual bar crawl.
And on that note!
Put on your skinny jeans and ironic t-shirts! Let's get lit and gentrify Crown Heights tomorrow!! :drunken: whoo whoo

alafairnadiaso what's the schedule? when are we meeting at sepia? yay! -
whatchuwantalafairnadia wrote: so what's the schedule? when are we meeting at sepia? yay!
Sepia: 7:30- 8:30 (9ish)
FRANKLIN PARK: 9- until Mamacita gets so drunk we have to throw her in a cab.
Starlight Lounge: for those who will just need to shake their groove thing before they go home. (Don't laugh, some people will surprise you...)
I realize this is a bit of a "short" crawl by definition, however, if one can't make all three, this will be easy for those who want to catch up with us as we'll only be at a few spots. Also, the sad demise of RIPple automatically cut us back by one, and at this point I know we were all hoping that Abigail's Wine Bar would've been open by now (does ANYONE have the scoop on this place?!?!?).
Also, 95 South is around the corner from Franklin Park, so that can always still be an option....but I'm still mad at them from the last time I was there, and "frankly" I don't think they deserve us. -
alafairnadiaif anyone need my cell # to text for current/next location, PM me. -

I don't have an ironic T-shirts, so I can only do one bar. :P
