Soooooo, Squeakies may have a new daddy! daver met him and thinks he'll make a good addition. It will be a trial run (at my suggestion) to make sure Squeaks gets along with daver's cat and that he'll be cool witht he kids. I can't wait to see how he does once he's out of the zoo! Yay daver, you rock!

Squeaks is a good kitty. I think my older kitty has been getting pretty lonely during the long days, and that Squeaks will be a total compliment to the household. I'm sure there will be some serious hiding at first, but I'll bet Squeaks comes around before long. He is too curious and inquisitive to stay away from everything.

Daver, give us a report on El Squeako, por favor

Squeakers is doing good so far. He is still pretty skittish, but he explores and comes out for pettings, at which time he purrs and purrs. I _think_ he and my other kitty are getting along, but I haven't witnessed it yet. I'm pretty sure they were sleeping together on the bed when I walked in tonight, but when they door opened Squeakers took off behind the bed so I'm not totally sure. Tonight is the first time the kids have been here since he moved in Wednesday, and thus far he has voted to stay under the bed. Unfortunately for him, when little guy #2 gets tired the trundle will be coming out and he'll have to take some sort of action.

Um, yeah. He is doing pretty good I think. I suspect he'll come out here again tonight once kids start dropping. If I can sneak in quietly enough to catch the two kitties sleeping together, I'll be sure to snap a pic.

And P.S.- I think Squeaks may be the most clumsy kitty I've met. He scrabbles around, slips, falls, knocks stuff over, etc. It is pretty cute and funny.

Okay, I am now unstickying this thread. And YAY! Chalk another one up to Caseopele, and congratulations on your new family addition daver!

I'm way too soft for this fostering business, Squeakies is definitely one of the harder ones to let go. Watch out daver, I may demand visitation rights! Keep the updates coming and throw in some pictures, maybe that'll placate me.

I'll be sure to get some pics this weekend. As far as the kids, he seems OK with the older two (12 & 14,) he stretches out his neck for them to pet him and stuff. He seems _very_ wary of the smaller two (7 & 8,) and really doesn't like them to come near him. He really didn't come out while they were over, other than to travel from one hidy spot to another. But like I said, this was the first time they've been over, so hopefully he'll get used to it. I should be alone there tonight, perhaps having the kids last night and this morning will make him more appreciative of having just me home, haha!
