MODRe: Fiberwig
Have you tried Cargo's TexasLash at the sephora store? I tried it a couple of times and it seems to work great. Made me look like I had fake eyelashes.
As far as lipsticks go, I purely a gloss gal. I love all the Lancome juicy tubes colors. And the gloss jars. Stila brand has a some lipstick sticks that are the perfect rose colors.
Jane, have you tried lip stains instead of lipstick?

alexisclementsI haven't tried Cargo Lash...maybe I will.
As for lipsticks, I've lately been on a chubby pencil stick (all over lips, not like liner) covered with gloss. Stays on fairly well and not as dull as lipstick..yet not as slippery as plain gloss -
jane_birkinthanks mamacita! i may have to try the lip stain, especially since it looks like i can wear my Kiehl's lip balm over it. i have a sephora gift card that's burning a hole in my pocket...i'll report back soon! -
whatchuwantCarmen wrote: [quote=Flexichick][quote=Carmen]Tend Skin is the shit. Google it. It's like the windex of skin problems (meaning it can fix everything)
Can you find it locally (I notice Sephora has it, but wonder if you can find it in CVS, etc)
I've never purchased it in-store, I always go the amazon route. if you have highly sensitive skin it's not the product for you as one of the main ingredients is alcohol, but its been a godsend for me and my bikini bumps!
I bought some yesterday at Duane Reade for $15, but its the smaller bottle. I will report back with results. -
MODOO! I just got for $3 at Sephora dual pencil sharpener and I'm hooked. I've bought the Revelon and all the other brands before and inevitably the top slips off easily or the bottom cracks open when I drop it etc..
But this one is all clear plastic, the top is hinged so you cant lose it and get this! The 2 pencil holes have a built in snap on covers! So if you drop it or toss it in your bag, no lose makeup shavings will fall out!@!
Do you know how many times I've had to clean up eyeliner shavings from the bathroon floor after I drop one of these things? Then it smudges everywhere. I'm stoked.

Oh, that's me too. Ask me how much makeup I am wearing right now.
(*snort*) This is SO me. Dropped an indecent amount of $$ at Sephora last week and most of the products are still in their packaging. My summer makeup consists of Cornsilk powder to blot shine, a coat of mascara, lip gloss and go. So why oh why did I buy eye pencils and brow gel..
Speaking of mascara, Fiberwig is it if you want lashes so long, they look fake. It doesn't provide any volume, just length, so unless your lashes are naturally thick you might want a coat of any voluminizing mascara first. It's also smudgeproof and rinses off with water into little crumbles that don't leave dark smears under your eyes. Great stuff.
I returned my Fiberwig. Not impressed at all. Get better results from drug store stuff.
I'm into my Smashbox cream liners these days.
Anybody else have any new discoveries? -
anastasia beaverhausenI'm a MAC gal, but I really like Benefit's Bad Gal mascarra. I've heard the fiberwig was crap, glad to have it confirmed.
I really like the MAC eye paints. They're creamy and they stay in place. -

that's a GREAT design! I was at Sephora today but didn't notice that. I always end up with crap all over my bag and hands because of the shavings.
Thanks for the tip!
I bought two of these bad boys today. At $3, it was a bargain. -

anastasia beaverhausenQueen Helen's Mint Julep Masque. Oh. My. God. My skin feels like a baby's! Supposedly, it helps acne, gets rid of blackheads and shrinks pores. I used it for the first time last night and I did notice that some of black heads were gone and some others were significantly "lightened." I'm hoping with continued use, I will have perfect skin! -

Queen Helene is such a flashback. I use the mint scrub sometimes. I have the masque too, and used to use it as a teenager. I find it too drying for me, but occasionally use it just on chin and forehead -
anastasia beaverhausenI could fry an egg on my face its so oily. -

Pretty good. It's a foam spongey thing. I'm guessing you could buy a cheaper one with same results -
caaahyokoAnd you just put water on it? I wonder if a magic eraser would work the same. -
pixelpixie83caaahyoko wrote: And you just put water on it? I wonder if a magic eraser would work the same.
you don't have to wet it. I would try magic eraser. might do the same thing -

Well, if you're shaving or waxing on a regular basis, then you use it daily to prevent ingrown hairs. That's really the only use I've found for it and its great for that. -
