    yeah, no kidding. I've been here 11 years and 4th Ave has been the boundary. The south end of the slope is where the really silly name changing is going on . . . 19th St in the Slope, anyone?

    ok. i agree with you all about geopolitical boundaries for park slope

    now please define for me the boundaries for Gowanus

    is Gowanus just 3rd avenue? cause then on the other side it starts to bleed into Carroll Gardens

    I'd have to ask my 60 year old neighbor who grew up on here

    I think of it as being one street over on either side of the Gowanus Canal
