Brooklyn Back When - Open Thread

terry i cant go till wednesday if i go at all
i dont get paid till then
im ok paul ty for askin trying to muttle thru 1 day at a time sometimes
momement by moment...
i am doing like judy is doing i ordered everything all made just making a side dish extra and pick up a couple of pies
all i gotta do is warm turkey in oven for an hour and im good to go

HELEN,I THINK YOU GOT IT RIGHT, ORDER IT ALREADY COOKED, JUST MAKE A COUPLE OF SIDE DISHES. IM TIRED JUST SHOPPING FOR THE FRIGGIN FOOD, NOW 3 DAYS TO START TO PREPARE IT. THATS IT, THIS IS THE LAST HOLIDAY IM DOING.!!!!!!!! BAD ENOUGH WHERE HAVING A LATE DINNER, BUY THE TIME THEY FINISH WATCHING THE MACYS DAY PARADE IN NY THEN DRIVE TO RI, ILL BE READY TO GO TO BED.....I GUESS IM JUST VENTING.

Jeanette......they'll be in the city for the parade and then driving to RI??? wow......that will certainly be a long day.

I had an exhausting day myself.....7:30 this morning I was at the vegetable store.....11am I went to pathmark....came home put away my groceries.....prepared my eggplant, showered, ran to my gyn apt, hit two more stores and now I'm finishing up my dinner. I hope I stay awake to eat it!!!! lol

my friend was checking her sugar cause she a diabetic
so she asked me if i wanted mine checked
i say sure thinking it would be 80s or90s
well it was 204!!!
now i am all upset and thinking all kinds of stuff

We had such a good time reminiscing about brooklyn before he left in 63.
His brother Bo wrote a song caled candy store caruso
It is about Rocco's candy store.. Did U ever hear it???
He said when Bo would sing in the back of the
candy store ,Rocco would yell What ya think you are caruso LOL
Sooooo as the story goes he named the song candy store caruso all about brooklyn.. When cousin Geri O'brien heard him singing it at
the restaurant last week she was crying....
Well were your ears ringing saturday night.???? We talked about your family, shiela and Susan's family.. Such good memories...
Just wanted to let u know how important u guys were to the cousins in bklyn and they still reminisce about the good old times with you and your family included...

Annnnnnnd I still remember Susan so beautiful. Remember when i wrote this last year. You would get or I should say I would get dressed to go out and think wow i look pretty good
and then susan would come along so beautiful and i felt like crap. What a beauty she was.....and from facebook I see she still is......

for donny's birthday he was soooo happy to see everyone
and yes boo sang the song at the party everyone cried
i think because everyone was rembering the old times.,
that was the thing to do hang out the window and watch the kids
