Judy, While I certainly do not envy your Mammo test (by the way, the last 2 years my wife Carol had the digital test and said it was much quicker and not as painfil), I will tell you 2 tests to avoid/ The first one you will never have and that is a biopsy of the Prostate. They shove huge needles up your rectum, peirce the anal wall and go into the prostate and take as many as 20 samples. You are AWAKE for this torture. The second is a Cystoscopy. I have had at least 10 of them in the last few years. They shove a garden hose with a flash light and a Kodak Brownie camera up through (in men's case) up through the penis up into your bladder. They fill the bladder full of clear liquid and then check the whole inside of the bladder for tumors. ( In me they found them twice). Again you are awake for this procedure. If they find them, 99% of the time they are malignant. Then you go to the hospital and have the tumors scraped and burned out. For that, they put you to sleep. In the mean time I am going to stay away from the garage doors!!
Ant - sorry you had to go through that test, but I don't think its as bad as a mammagram....if you want to know how that feels, (I am going to get very graphic, so be warned)!!!! Place your balls under the garage door and close down the door on them and then tell me that was the worse test you ever had!!!LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL sorry I couldn't resist......
