suzie - Yep, it resized it for you. We had cases (in the prior site and this new one) of huge images breaking the layout, sometimes covering over quote etc. buttons.

We put in something that makes sure that photos are no bigger than the size we need to fit them in posts. Hope that helps.

Also, we will work on putting all the other easier buttons in that allow you to do size, font, colors, etc. nice and simple like before without worrying about all these more complicated, less intuitive (and PITA, often) special opening and closing tags needed for things to display as intended.

MOD NOTE: Remember, as in the guide above, you have to

- click the video button

- paste in the link to the youtube video page

- click the "close" button to automatically close any open tags (video in this case)

In the above example it appears the video button was not clicked to insert the [video] tag in front of the link (or the "video" or "close" buttons clicked again after the youtube link to close the video tags).

Again, sorry it's so complicated before we get the easier stuff installed again. - j

Steps:

1) click video button to add [video]

2) paste in youtube page link

3) click the close button to add [/video]

The end result will be this in the preview:

[video][/video]

...which will result in this when posted:

[video]

NOPE....I clicked VIDEO ----> http Code ---> Close ---> submit

Weird, it works via the exact steps I wrote above, which you appear to be following.

Did the close button add the [/video] right after the http.. link?

Did it look like exactly this in the preview before you posted it?

I'm using the buttons directly above the box where I type my post.

The "video" thing at the top of the page isn't a button related to formatting anything way down in the text box. It just shows subjects people have mentioned in the "Tags (comma separated)" box BELOW the posting box. Kind of like if someone types in a post about a reunion, then enters reunion in that "Tags (comma separated)" below their posts so other people can easily find all posts also tagged with the word reunion.

I just thought Id ask ....but Im using the one in the post

Yeah the preview button doesn't show the video or images... hopefully this will get on the long to do list

Ha. All this points to the fact that we gotta get it installed and enabled as before.

The initial setup here is clearly working against us all (even me...I often forget and have to go back to install closing tags, ha..)

Hopefully we'll be able to tackle this today. Thanks again for bearing through the initial transition pains here.
