I'd like to finish up my Christmas shopping this wk. end, if possible!!!! Everytime I think of Christmas, my thoughts always go back to 5th avenue and the Christmas music and just all the excitement watching people shop, etc.

I don't know if I'll ever get caught up on reading these back pages but I'll try!

Anna, be careful in that big snowstorm, but my guess is that you'll be staying indoors.

[/b]When I read of some of the more serious health problems people are facing, I get a little embarrassed to mention my minor things. Any ways, today I had to see a Retina specialist because of some symptoms the Surgeon who did my Cataracts found. A couple of years ago I had a "Horse" in my right eye. You read right (HORSE). Actually it was shiny bits in the small veins in my eye and it was called "Holland HORSE Plaque". Plaque breaks off somewhere in your blood system and can lodge anywhere. When it lodges in the eye it is called "Holland Horse Plaque".It does or can cause some blank spots when you read. The result was some damage to the eye nerves and that is what caused the concern. The result of the cataract surgery on both eyes is 20/20 distance in both eyes. I will still need prescription glasses because of the astigmatism I have, but my eyes are the best they have been since I started wearing glasses in 1939. I will no longer need lenses the size of 7UP bottle bottoms. The "Horse" damage is just something I will have to live with. Not all that terrible! They did tests on my Coratod Artery and my Brain and found no instance of where the plaque came from. At least I have a test that proves I have a BRAIN! :sunny:
