GOT about a foot of snow. someplaces more od less...is winter over now ??? lol, very windy out hard to tell if it stop snowing,or just blowing around......so stay warm my snow bunnies...see ya later...cabin fever already !!!!

Hi Anthony: Good news on the tests you had. Sounds like you are ready for the Golden Gloves competition! It was a rough go with the eyes but I could not be more pleased with the outcome. I can see better then ever. Without the glasses I can actually see most things including TV. With the new glasses I can read 20/15. Better then my eye Doctor. Also the new glasses have lenses about 1/16" thick. My old ones were close to 3/8"thick or about the same as the bottom of a coke bottle! 8)

Hey Terry, Just to keep you up to date on the COLD! Last night this area dropped into the high 20"s At 8am we were up to a soaring balmy 31 degrees. Sure not beach weather. Tonight another cold night is predicted and then we are supposed to warm up to 60 degrees by the weekend. The only good news on the weather front for Florida was an article in this AM paper which said that Florida was the only state on the Eastern seaboard without snow on the ground. Guess we have to be thankful for small favors but it is TOO DAMN COLD for me

Anthony-this should cheer you up! Years ago after a heavy snowfall in Brooklyn, a guy on 12th st near 4th Ave was shoveling out his car. Along came a Sanitation Inspector. (You remember those guys with the brown uniforms and a shiny badge). He probably got the job because his Uncle or a Gumba put in a word for him. He said to the guy digging out the car "Hey, you can't throw that snow in the street or I am going to give you a ticket and have your car towed away". The guy asked the inspector "How much is the ticket and the tow job?" The inspector answered $25. (I said it was years ago) The guy told the inspector to go ahead and give him the ticket and just let him know where the car would be towed to because it is worth $25 just to get the car out of the snowbank". The Inspector just stood there and did not know what to do next. True story and I do not know what happened afterwards.

Terry. What you said goes for the Tampa Bay area. Bundle up, it is cold out there. Supposed to warm up tomorrow. A lot of concern about ruined fruits & vegatables from the frost. Just what we need, something else to drive up the prices. Well I thought of this old adage since spring is not too, too far away.
