Brooklyn Back When - Open Thread

Anthony- I know full well that Janet was on this blog long before me. When I first came on I remember reading about all her travails in the woods of N.C. Little by little she disappeared from this blog which is of course her right. But if you go back and read what she said, to me it was an obvious "anybody who is anybody is on FB, not here." I considered it a dis to all who still use this blog and that is why I responded as I did. I do not speak for the blog only for myself so if anyone thought I was speaking for them, excuse me please. :wtf:

Terry-Good thing you did not take my advice and jump on a plane to your condo. Very wet week so far and they expect rain every day through Friday. We did need some rain but you know Florida. It is either a feast or a famine. Yesterday they measured over 3 inches of rain at Tampa Airport!!! #-o

Anthony- I appreciate it but there is no need to apologize.

We are talking about an interpertation of someones thoughts and writing.It is not unusual for two people to get different meanings from what someone writes. Hell, Carol & I do crossword puzzles together and come up with completely different answers sometime.

Hope you and your wife are both feeling fine. I am sure you are watching her leg very closely for improvement & healing. Carol is feeling a lot better but her digestive problems can pop up at any time no matter what she eats. I will see the cardiologist on thursday and find out if I still have a heart beating... :roll:

Back from doctor said I was ok but tell you the truth I am not feeling god at all...I wish it would get warm maybe I would feel better...

You are So right. Debbie looks like Loretta. When Uncle Chubby saw her for the first time she she was small, he and my other aunts and uncles almost dropped dead when they walked in. They thought she looked just like LORETTA. YE KAREN DOES RESEMBLE LOUISE..

I can't believe Friday is April 1st already.....I started some spring cleaning but didn't get too far. lol

Terry I think some nice warm weather will help everyone. As much as I dislike the hot, humid summers I'm really tired of this cold. I'm worn out from wearing the heavy coat, the scarf, the gloves, the hat. Probably in 2 weeks it'll hit 80 and never go back!

Patsy and Debbie - when you're done spring cleaning at your place please feel free to come to me! I have a garage full of stuff - no clue as to what half of it is but I'm sure the minute I throw it away I'll need it!

Was a little warmer this morning when I took that brat to school. She was out of control. She would not let me put her tights on, she had to do it. We had to get out and dressed pretty and she just has to have her way.I was screaming and crying and she just ignored me. I took Woody and Jessie the toy story toys away. I pretended to call her teacher and she could care less. I call her Sybil. After all that she is Mia again, sweet and funny and loving. I am still shaking and she is having a great day at school...I am too old for this shit. yes I said shit....lol

Justin is starting that...everything is No,No,No...last week Tina was sick in bed, Justin was misbehaving & wanted to go see Tina-he actually told Scott to put him in timeout in his room (next to Tina's room)just so he could go see Tina...kids are so smart these days...but this too shall pass...LOL...they're always testing us...but at the end of the day they go home...that's a plus-but we love them anyway..so have a nice day & don't stress out..talk to u later----bye

Hello All...Terry, I am surprised at Mia acting up like that. I bet when you were that age you were a perfect child like I was. What is that noise I here from heaven. Oh it is my Mother & Sister laughing out loud about what I just said about being perfect.

Okay, you spring cleaners have shamed me into it. This morning while Carol was still sleeping I went into the pantry and threw out some old cereal, took cereal from any in boxes and put it into sealed containers and straightened up the top shelf. In a little while I am going to take all the fancy China cups and other stuff on top of the cabinets down, clean the tops and then put down shelf paper before we return the China cups etc: to the top of the cabinets. I have some craft work on top also, House fronts from different eras. Some I made and some we bought. I even decorate them at Christmas time. Carol will help with this job so I do not go up & down our little ladder to much. So damn old I get dizzy doing that. #-o

Well my diet is HISTORY!!!!! LOL LOL I think I gained half of it back already, it is so hard. Its just that you need to have everything in the house and I just don't have the time to shop and cook different for myself. I am still watching my sugar intake and my sugar levels are still pretty good. I have to get back to it, it was so easy the first couple of weeks. I keep saying I will start walking as soon as it gets warm out....Hello!!!! where is the warm weather........

Gray and dreary out. Rain, rain go away...

Patsy you're right - according to my calculations most of the stuff in the garage has been in there since I moved in which is 8 years in August. A garage sale is a good idea. I don't know if my block is good for it - I'm a little off the beaten path. My niece's house (in NJ) is an excellent location - she lives across from a Jehovah Witness hall so she gets lots of buyers. I'll have to haul my junk there when I'm ready.

Anthony sorry to hear about your loss of vision. I'm sure it's terribly hard and very frustrating. Hopefully you'll be able to have it corrected very soon. My niece used to read and help w/some chores for a woman who was legally blind - maybe you could get someone to do the same for you.
