Suzie - I just feel so overwhelmed with all I have to do....so I figured if I do something everynight I will possibly get done....and once I start on this blog I never get off.

I hate to be the one with all the bad news all the time, but my mom really needs everyones prayers...The tumor in her chest was cancerous and she will need to start radiation next week, every day for five weeks so please say a couple extra prayers for her....I know she will make it through this just fine...she is so strong and we are not ready to give her up yet!!!!!!! thats all there is to it.............lol lol

Judy ...Im so sorry ....but Ive been keeping Festina up todate with my next door neighbor Joe's health problems.....he found out last year he has Lymphoma Cancer.....he went through the radiation and the chemo...he wasnt as sick as I thought you would be from the both of them.....he also had his lungs drained every day ....by his wife!
He is 74 ...I think....yesterday he was out sweeping all the itchy balls in the street....and he said to me ...hey Sue make sure you sweep up these balls....me without thinking said "Joe you have balls...I dont" I meant my trees .....so he looked at his wife and said ....do you hear how she talks to me.....laughing!
Its all in your will to live, bitch and complain, keep her strong ...and keep everyone away from her that is sick ....her resistance might be low ....and keep her laughing...thats the best medicine!

I havent stopped praying for anyone .....I swear I pray....before going to sleep! Mrs. Maresca from St Johns used to say .....you dont have to go to Church ....just sit by yourself and talk to God even if its for 2 mins.
I still hear her telling me that !!!!!

Judy ...and dont stress the Holidays....this is the 1st year I didnt decorate outside.....I always rushed to get everything just right for that Christmas morning....and was drained by that night .....whatever you get done is just fine.....just try to enjoy life ....because thats the most important thing .....more than wrapping paper right now!

JUDY.....I UNDERSTAND WHAT IT'S LIKE....MY MOM HAD BREAST CANCER 35 YEARS AGO..SHE HAD A MESC???TOMY....AND WAS CANCER FREE ALL THESE YEARS NOW.....THAT IS UNTIL 18 MONTHS AGO,WHEN IT ALL CAME BACK WITH A VENGENCE.....NOW SHE HAS LUNG CANCER(NEVER SMOKE A DAY IN HER LIVE),BONE CANCER,AND IT SPREAD TO HER LIVER. BUT,UNBELIEVABLY,SHE STILL GOING STRONG. THE OLDER PEOPLE ARE ALOT TUFF-ER THAN YOU THINK.
AND OF COURSE,I(WE,ALL OF US HERE) WILL KEEP YOUR MOM,AND EVERYONE ELSE WHO HAS A LOVE ONE IN NEED OF OUR PRAYERS IN OUR HEARTS AND MIND ALWAYS...... THAT WHAT GOOD PEOPLE DO.

Susie - thanks for the welcome. I grew up on 7th avenue between 19 &20th streets. When I was about 20, my family bought Helene Lilly's house on 7th ave. between 21 & 22nd streets. My Mom still lives there. I'm in Massapequa Park on L.I. now and every time I ask my Mom if she's ready to head east she says no way! She's really a Brooklyn girl!

Hey Patsy - I know my brother came on I told him about the site....MIKE where are you?

To all of you guys & your families who are dealing with illness, especially that M-----r F----r cancer, you are in my prayers. It's amazing how everyone seems to have been touched by that miserable disease.
Be strong and have faith. God sends us little miracles in these times...I know that they were the things that kept me going when my husband was ill.

Janet - I love to here your stories from the island of Elba (N.C. that is) keep em coming!

Joey - do you have any idea what ever happened to Joey Orlando - he dated a friend of mine for awhile.
