People in this community DID vote with their wallets. They voted to say goodbye to Pumpkins.

Can we just go back and examine how exactly FAIRWAY can be Yankeefan's least favorite grocery store ever?!?

Erm - have you even been to a grocery store besides Pumpkin?? Fairway is amazing. On the real.

Fairway is designed like a maze. I’ve never been to a market so unpleasant to walk around.

And yes, I’ve been to plenty of other places besides Pumpkins. Remember, Pumpkins was only there about 5 or 6 years, so obviously I went to other places before then. But I also went to different places while Pumpkins was around.

Fairway rocks. But it has absolutely nothing to do with Pumpkin's demise.

Clerks in a store knowing my name does nothing for me if the other stuff isn't there too. they also have to have price and selection, otherwise I shop somewhere else.

And, yes, the first time I went to Fairway I too thought it was a maze, but, I got used to it. Haven't been in ages though.

Having never been to Fairway, I can't comment-- Pathmark is close and just as big, no?- but the skankees suck butt. I think all those rings are jammed up in there.

    Let's go Mets!!!!!!!!!!

i don't care a lick about the yankees or the mets.

as for pumpkins, the last time i bought something there was a $3 zucchini. oh, i care all about pesticides, cloned food, etc., and how it will affect me later in my life. i also care about making my mortgage payments. this one is kind of a no-brainer.

i can buy organic, cage free eggs at rossman's for $2.39. as for the rest of the produce: concord grapes for $2 a box. fresh, locally made pita for 79 cents a bag. it's cheaper than trader joe's, and is only a $6 cab ride.
