i do agree.. but when you LIVE on top of OTHERS you DO NOT have the right to disturb them with your shitty habits.. point blank..

Ian, it's your home. Feel free to bang on the ceiling at any hour you choose. I'd suggest a broom. You pay rent to do what you like in the comfort of your own apartment.

I have upstairs neighbors too. We have hardwood floors and thin walls. I can hear my neighbors roll over in bed at night!
But it doesn't bother me, because they are just doing normal things, not playing music loudly, or shouting, or partying or anything like that.

I have a 9 to 5 job on Wall St., so what?
I have never had a noise complaint on me from any of my neighbors.

    Live and let live.

I guess you should count yourself lucky that it is only 3 nights a week, if it was 7 nights a week you would probably go insane! Hahaha!

no.if it was 7 nights and i went up there already... it would be a PROBLEM

straight like that .. i dont even have to get on any G shit.. but your disturbing me and like i said thats the same as another human being rude/disrespectful to you in the street and umm i DONT PLAY THOSE GAMES

and as far as your situation if you choose to live under that noise and not say anything thats COOL .. thats YOU & YOUR LIFE ..

Yeah, in my world, people don't get stupid nasty notes left on their door just because they are walking around in their own apartment at night.

regardless of whether people have a "right" to walk around in heels at any time, etc., there is also a measure of decency you have to take into account when you live so close to other people.

I might have the "right" to do a bunch of things. I try to take into consideration (within reason) whether this would disturb my upstairs or downstairs neighbors. I suspect they take that into consideration as well, as they are all pretty quiet and we're all very decent towards each other.

What is it that they have done to go against common decency? That note, on the other hand, constitutes totally inappropriate behavior.

I'm not playing devils advocate, I honestly just don't agree with you.

I do not live in your building, but if you left a note like that on my door, it would really piss me off. Why would you want to start a fight with your neighbors?
  • supreme_ian
    supreme_ian
its NOT a fight.. life HAS RULES.. no matter who you are.. if you sellin crack its RULES to sellin crack.. if you work in a school its RULES to workin in the school.. if you live in an APARTMENT building i.e. shared space. its RULES and no matter who you are you CANT keep break em with out suffering consequences ! thats all .. you (them) can get as pissed off as you want. ive lived here longer and 2nd its a FIGHT you(them) wouldnt win.

Please please post that note and any response notes on passiveaggressivenotes.com right now!!!!!!!!!!

Apartment living is hard. I felt so happy that I moved into the top floor so the elephants who liked to bowl with forty pound balls above my old apartment would never move with me. But then I discovered that the loud ass children screaming, running, bounding off the trampoline walls below us are perfectly capable of shaking our entire house. Sadly, they are the landlords children so I can't tell them to shut the f up.

this thread is just like my coop board meetings. i'm the one saying there's a crazy loud person making an insane amount of noise over my head, and the rest of the board is telling me that i don't know how to live in a city.
