Hey-whatever happened to that "learn to make Challah Bread, but only if you're a jewish woman thread"? Did it happen already? It looks like it got deleted....

ok, if it got deleted because of something i wrote i want to say this one more time: i am not anti-semetic. i'll gladly show you pictures of my bat mitzvah. (no, actually, i won't. because it was one of the worst days of my life and i've shredded all those pictures. no wonder i never go to temple. )

    regardless... not. anti. semetic.

    white t-shirt and jeans.

....not in temple, dressed only half in white.

sounds like a half assed attempt at atonement.

Take it from me, a lapsed catholic: You are being a bad jew.

that i am a bad jew was never undenied. (double negatives: i am not a good jew. actually, that's not correct. i am a good person, and i am jewish. i just don't practice judaism. i don't like how the two get lopped together. plus, i make rockin` kugel. )

    kugel is yummy.

Note to Chabad from Lapsed Catholic: Offer classes in Kogel making, forget the Challah bread.

I'm sure they'll get right on it...

many people hold their kugel recipes quite close to the vest. mine was my aunt's, so well-known for this secret recipe it was passed out to family members at her funeral. you couldn't pay me to give it to you.

Mrs Whynot makes good kugel, and is dressed in white and in temple atoneing at this moment. (good person, jewish person, good jewish person)

...I do not seek your recipe, but am willing to eat your kugel if you are willing to share it.

I seek to give worthless advice to Chabad. ...perhaps bring in a lurker or two so it is not just us.
  • brooklynpotter

is her kugel sweet or savory?
  • whynot_31

    more sweet than savory

mine has pineapple, but that's all i'm saying.

I promise, that you even have a secret recipe is safe with me. I would never think of discussing it, not even on an obscure thread of sarcastic blog. ...I am not the maker of kugel in my household, and I would not want you potentially incur family rath.

Chabad should be pleased, I think this thread from them has received more responses than usual.

Ahem- to get kinda back onto the topic of that other thread being deleted, BP- I feared it was MY comment/question of whether someone had to be a Jewish woman, as opposed to say, a Catholic woman joining in on the Challah (Holla!) Making partay.

Cause we all know this board AIN'T about being exclusive....
  • whynot_31

WUW, are you supposed to be dressed in white too?

just so you know, the challah thread wasn't deleted.

    it's on the PS board.

    carry on.

HAHA@! Yeah, check your facts before you get all huffy and outraged
  • whynot_31

facts should have nothing to do with this discussion. BP and I were having a nice discussion about her aunt and how good of a jew she is before you guys came along.

....we were also making Chabad's day by keeping this thread at the top of the list. ...which you can continue to do without me, I am going to get lunch.

No one's getting huffy, Mama

But thanks for letting me know, Sweet Tea- I looked over there, couldn't find it, didn't look good enough...

BP- I love Challah, baked by either man or woman! Jewish or otherwise!
