Children at the Gate on Saturday night

After awesome cocktails at Sidecar, we ran down 5th ave in the rain on the way to meet friends. When Bar Reis turned out to be cash only, we ended up at the Gate. Um, I swear the boys in there were maybe 20. They were all wearing Skankees hats and one of them hit me in the hair with a spit ball. Why I ask you, are these children allowed out? Ugh.

At least the lads weren't in strollers, but still a good reason to boycott the Gate and give Sidecar more business.

Last time I went to Sidecar on a Saturday after 8pm, it was empty, seats were comfortable, menu selections and food were OK (wish they had brand name "Tabasco" and mayonnaise instead of homemade though), drinks were good, the waitress was very NICE, but most importantly there were NO strollers.

Carmen, I have had two fairly debaucherous nights at Aji, including last Friday with amazing live music. Yes, yes we must!!!!!!!!!!

Sidecar was lovely. Truly artistic cocktails and even buybacks! We got there around 9 and every table and bar stool were occupied.

Spit balls is flirting? Nauseating more like!!!!!!! I mean true, the kid (who I think I used to babysit) did come over and announce himself as the spit baller and then buy me a drink. And his semi-retarded friend was talking smack about the Mets and lost some basic trivia fact bet and had to buy me a drink too. Then they bought us all shots...............

My week is SO swamped, I don't know if I can make it (I'm traveling next week, home for 3 days then in cali again the following week for a different client, best friend is moving into her first apt so I'm helping her move this weekend, etc...everything is going to shit!) I'm going to make an effort but its a 50/50 at this point. Drink one for me!
