I was at Clover Club on Smith St tonight and kept trying to think of how I could convince my friends to come to Vandy for Cornelius and Weather Up.
And, of course, the top-heavy female waitstaff doesn't hurt matters, either... [insert feminist criticism here] -

Eww , oysters??
Whynot , you gotta buy Carny an oyster shooter! -
whynot_31I've done nothing to Carnie that I need to make up for.

Then Carnie and I will eat them because you think they are Eww. -
ginsbera113"Spectacular burger" =P~
Don't set your expectations too high, the burger is pretty lame. Many better burgers on Vanderbilt. Hopefully in time they improve it, but I was not impressed. Drinks on the other hand were wonderful! -

Many better burgers on Vanderbilt? How many burgers are there total on Vanderbilt, Unless you're talking Fort Greene too? There's Plan B, Soda, and probably The Usual (I'm guessing they have one). That's all I can come up with. I've had the first two burgers, and Cornelius' version is definitely better than Plan B's and Soda's, in my opinion-- and I can only assume it's better than The Usual's.

candicissimaBeast also has a burger that was not too bad.
Cornelius is really lovely inside. The new decoration puts Noo Na to shame (even if I did like that place). Didn't have the food and 4 drinks for $42 is a little pricey, but they were good and the staff is nice. -
ginsbera113You can get a burger at Beast, Soda, Plan B and Barette. I don't expect much from the Usual, but Beast and Soda have much better burgers than Cornelius. Then with James and Tavern on the Dean close by the area has some decent burgers. I would be thrilled with a better burger, so perhaps they were in the first week slump. When a burger is overcooked, cloaked in way too much brioche and with a measly, paper thin slice of cheese it's quite unimpressive. -
carnivoreI haven't tried the Cornelius burger yet, but I've always thought that Soda's burgers were the best on Vandy (sadly). But Albaz has the best burger in the neighborhood. -

Mostly because you can still get one after 2am.

Last time I was there I got a beef kebab with fries. Also delicious. But nothing beats their cheeseburger with fried onions. -
whatchuwantI could eat 15 Barrette burgers- those things get me off. -
ginsbera113I'm interested in the pulled pork sliders and mac and cheese. I was so upset to hear they took off the fried chicken and replaced it with a breaded chicken breast (boring), but some of the other food looked good. -
jack krohnBeast's burger is decent, but the one at Soda sucks. Cornelius gets my vote for the best on the avenue. Never tried the one at The Usual. -
em26I Had a wonderful time tonight.
The burger was very tasty. I got it with mayo and onion.
They forgot the cheese , but it was all good. I still enjoyed it very much. The fries were good too.
Burger and fries + a diet coke = $13.55
Here's the pics :

ginsbera113Looks like they at least increased the size of the burger to match the large brioche bun. How was it cooked? Did they cook it properly (medium-rare)? -

It used to be smaller?
Yeah , that thing was pretty thick. Nice charcoal bbq taste to it.
The bartender (who was great, btw) , asked how I wanted it cooked and I said "well done".
Edit:
I found their website:
