Worst Bartender Ever at Bar 4

OK. I've had enough. We went into Bar 4 in the South Slope for a drink. The place was empty. Cool. The bartender kept messing with his ipod, and then grumpily slouched over to us, and then walked away from the bar. When we were considering getting a second drink, he had his back to the bar, and get this--WAS PICKING HIS TEETH!! :x Not only disgusting, but in any culture; a sure fuck you. We took the hint and left.
As much as I want to support this place, the bartenders are the worst.

Yes, the burger there is good. And their wings are good too....I forgot about the food because I like their beer selection so much. Come to think of it, I usually eat after I've had some beers, so maybe my thoughts on the food are someone influenced by the beer.

I wouldn't know. I got up and when I came back *poof* my fries were missing. Weird.

Wait, I remember friends from Bay Ridge who had NOT been drinking met me at Dram and had burgers and they loved them. So if you can trust the opinion of someone from Bay Ridge, I think we can confirm that even if you haven't been drinking, the burgers are good.

It's not that they're from Bay Ridge that makes me not trust them, it's the fact that they weren't drinking!!

Back on topic, I've always been treated well at Buttermilk and Commonwealth.

Buttermilk bartenders are good as are Sidecar's...oh, and Steinhof. Bartenders there are awesome

I guess I'm really talkin bars here folks. I don't care about the food. I want to go into a bar, be greeted with a smile, and have a drink. I've tended bar; and guess what--it can actually be fun! But these crappy bartenders should be fired. There's 150 other's who'd line up 4 that job.

Mimi at Ginger's, Megan and Liam at Bar Toto, Jorge at Bar Tanno, the guy up at Brook Vin, the folks at Beer Table, the guy at Aji.

I went to Bar 4 over the summer on the day they have guitar hero playing. I got there way early, like 6 oclock. My friend and I were the only people in the place and the bartender would not let us play guitar hero until the regularly scheduled time, which was 8 or 830 or something.

Pretty annoying.

We were the only two customers in the bar for the entire time.

Shoulda left but it was hot out and we were lazy.

I love Noel at Safe Haven (6 Ave/20 St)...he's my very favorite bartender. He's a really good guy who plays great music. No attitude. Mr 5x5 calls him my bar husband.

I also really like Jesse at The Gate.

I still haven't checked out Safe Haven (I think because I'm turned off by the name).

I like Bar 4, but had one weird experience there. My friend ordered a mixed drink and was charged for one drink, but received all of its different ingredients in different glasses. We mixed it ourselves because it would be too weird to explain to a bartender how to mix and serve common drinks. No harm was done...if anything, we got more booze than you would in one mixed drink.

Has anyone ever had a problem with the girl at Bar Reis? Not the blonde but the other one? She's so fuckin' miserable that every time I plan to go there and see that she's working I just walk on by.

One time my wife and I were there and the place was empty but she decided to start cutting lemons and limes right in front of us so we couldn't have a conversation...and all she wanted to do was whine about how Reis does everything wrong. We left after one drink.

Bar Reis used to be one of my faves! but i had to put them in my "no skinny cellphone bratz girlz too-cute-to-serve-me" category. Bartenders should be able to hold a conversation 4 chrissakes!
YES TO SAFE HAVEN. I forgot about that place cause it's so far, but LOVE the real bar vibe and excellent bar staff- male and female. (No to the name. wha?---)

Considering I live right near Reis, I've been really upset that my experiences there have sucked. I really wanted to like it...but the bartenders are snotty and the drinks are overpriced (no happyhour!) I'll hoof it elsewhere

Dram sucks. Too many coked up Bayridge people and underage assholes.

Obvs you don't read many of my posts or you would know that you can find me, with 80% assurance, at the hoff most week nights after 6pm (especially Mon/tues.)

errr...this is a bartender/bar post folks...i don't care about the burgers or fries--just the vibe and service.
fyi, dram is not just frat boys--i've run into some REALLY old timers there. (you know who u are!)
