We need to talk about the clothes and what happens when Jen and Angelina finally run into each other.

my hopes for winners: Sean Penn (but I suspect Mickey Roarke will win, even thought I didn't see the movie), Man on Wire (it's out on DVD - rent it!), Kate Winslet (didn't see the movie, but love, love, love her) and Heath Ledger (I didn't love the movie (or any of the other Batmans), but he was fabulous in his role, and for sentimental reasons alone, I think he'll win)

I can't believe I forgot to watch the Ind. Spirit Awards last night.

If Mickey wins and gives a speech like this tonight, I will be okay with him beating Sean Penn. This is pretty damn funny, and much better than the Oscar speeches:

Beyonce - it looks like a bad grandmother's couch. truly hideous
Lisa Rinna - her mouth truly looks like an anus and I wish she'd go away

Phillip Seymour Hoffman - take off that horrible black hat.

Kate Winslet - hair and makeup = fabulous, but I'm not so into the dress - the top half is ok, but the bottom isn't great

Angelina Jolie - gorgeous as always, but dress is a little boring.

taraji p. henson - fabulous (except for the purse)
robin roberts (is that her name? the morning show lady hosting on the pre-show?) = gorgeous color dress she's wearing. looks great on her
