    I live on Union btwn 7th and 8th, and most of the garbage that floats up and down the street seems to come from a few houses that don't cover up their garbage and recycling properly. A few houses tend to leave their junk out on the sidewalk, stuff that the garbage trucks wouldn't pickup - like unrolled up piles of carpet, broken furniture, and other crap.

    i agree with this part of your statement,
    however i think the blame lies primarily
    in certain people simply being lazy inconsiderate self centered assholes.

    I'm on 9th and Sanitation keeps it pretty clear... of human waste. The dog droppings are out of control.

    Dog droppings are human waste. It is left there by dog owners, not dogs.

    It's true. I once saw a dog owner taking a dump on 7th Ave between 5th and 6th street.
