Subject: worth repeating- I'VE HAD ENOUGH

Is it me or in the last year does it seem like park slope has doubled in population? I can't get over how many strollers have taken over the sidewalks, how many nannies are spread out all over the park, how many kids there are screaming up and down the streets and crying because they didn't get their ice cream. CRAP, i am in kid overload. time to leave park slope, i think i have had enough

    It's just seasonal.
The cold weather means more dog poo in the street, the warm means all the people are outside more.

BTW, dog poo and strollers are the new Hitler in terms of Godwin's Law on Brooklynian.

Is it the strollers or nannies that bother you?
Were the kids in the strollers over 4 years old? That drives me crazy....
The dog poop does not bother me that much...

I came back to NY in 1990 and even then people referred to PS as "strollerville", and that was in Manhattan

well thank you mr winstonsmith. i was referring to my apartment building not the neighborhood so thanks for taking my quote out of context. for the record, i did make changes but now it's the neighborhood and all i am commenting about is kid overload...you i can do without. and would love to make PS sans one, ME

We go to zoos all the time, but we don't walk in the cages.

Bird and squirrel poop is tiny and natural, not a giant pile in the middle of the sidewalk

no petting zoo for the kids???
also-- all poop is natural- big or small---all God's children poop...
    still luv ya!!!

Poop from non-meat-eating animals is always more tolerable, though. I'll take horse poop over dog poop even at greater volume.

This may come as a surprise, but most horsies eat cheesburgers on a regular basis.

I personally detest the worship of the child - why? You spawned and I should have to tolerate it? I have a solution feed the rug rats to the dogs - the dogs may then poop improved children!

What does poop from eating babies smell like?

So leave! Quit complaining and leave! Neighborhoods that are really nice and wealthy tend to be family friendly, meaning there'll be kids. If you can't take it, move to Bensonhurst.

I don't like bratty kids either, but It's a small price to pay for such a gorgeous neighborhood.

Apparently the complaints are from the those who can't or those who don't want families, but , if they are over 5ft7 they can't live in Bensonhurst

Plenty of kids in Bensonhurst also, I would suggest an area with a lot of old people, less likely to be kids there

I can't really be the only one who reveals in the schadenfreude of watching other people screw their kids up? Also strollers? Seriously? Just go out after 6.

Why do you think children are being raised poorly in Park Slope?

Have you actually spent any time with any families here?
