Shitty name, but the place has been cleaned up. For those of you that hated the newspaper, its gone. Replaced with a brand new Bud Light neon sign. Enjoy.

I'm gonna get all my fraternity brothers together and head on over.

...they are at Plan B right now.

Not Tracy's- same investors, but he's not included. New manager- I'll let you make your own judgments.

And yes, its open for all of you that were put off by the newspaper and doorbell.

A sad day for me personally. [-(

No broken glass under foot, an open door. Super bonus ,as fall sets in widows without newspaper. Clean bathroom and 2 dollar PBR. The doorbell is still there but it doesn't work, push it for old times sake. Not part of a habit but with everybody looking for clean good drinks it will come soon. Guy charged me 3 or 4 per for my drinks, not bad.

I don't see myself going there anymore.

So sad, with multiple new places on Washington, none of which I find very appealing. I like the taps at the Commons, but not the crowd. Now what was a decent spot as Manhattans sound like another Plan B. I guess I'll be sticking to Vanderbilt and Underhill (and occasionally Flatbush- Sharlene's is also pretty good).

^this. (except i'm happy with wash commons.)

i can't really complain since i wasn't doing much to keep the place open, but it sounds like they got rid of the quirky, cool parts of the bar and kept the bad parts.

I sort of feel the same way about the crowd at Washington Commons. It's not bad per se, but something about it is just off putting and I can't put my finger on it.

yeah, i agree. i just don't care that much because i usually go with friends and don't mix with the crowd that much. i like the taps and bartenders and the space, though.

Thanks for the update. I most certainly will enjoy. Funny, how this guy Tracy attributed his closure to investors, yet those same investors are willing to back another place. Good riddance to him! It'll be nice to patronize a bar that doesn't feel the need to hide from its customer base via a bell and newspapers!

for me, its the big plate windows. Beer and crowd is ok.

Sepia gets it right, however. Good beer, dark bar area. Windows are broken up into panes.

I don't see why everything different has to be discouraged. Were you turned away from there or something? I only went there a couple times, but I thought the gimmick was kind of fun.

Anyways, here's to another bar with TV and sports...

i can only think of that new half-court place and plan B that fit that category around here. I've seen Sepia have on sports during the day but not at night. Are there others? I'm always on the hunt for places to send my husband so I don't have to watch the football game too....

Franklin Park is definitely my favorite bar in Crown Heights.

I love seeing the hipsters play buck hunter, they point the rifle one centimeter away from the screen thinking that's going to improve their game.

Yeah, my big problem with Franklin Park—besides the lack of a pool table, as already mentioned—is their refusal to rotate their beers. Or even have them listed in a legible fashion. In the back room, on a dark night, it's next to impossible to tell what's on tap.

At least Washington Commons rotates their beers pretty regularly.

Met, If you see the rest of that sentence, you'd see I'm making fun of the hipsters you hate. Love = sarcasm in that sentence

    i realize that.

i wear levi's skinny jeans and listen to indie music (among other genres), so you would probably "hate" me if you saw me.

Really, Met? Take this as a compliment or whatever you will, but your online voice seems much older then a 20 something. In a good way!

The hipster thing is in jest, I would never hate someone for how they dress or what they listen too, only if they are ignorant. Which I don't think you are.
