ACORN Cheats And Brooklyn

Have you been following the ACORN scandals with the undercover pimp and his hooker gf? The latest is in Brooklyn.

First, A very damaging YouTube video was posted showing ACORN workers in Baltimore giving advice on how a prostitute and a pimp could avoid paying taxes on the underage El Salvadorean sex workers the couple were going to import.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNYU9PamIZk

ACORN quickly fired the workers, saying that it was an isolated incident and that it was just a smear campaign by Conservatives.

Then a SECOND video emerges, this time showing District of Columbia workers doing the exact same thing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWRTYD26Kxc&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fthehipposass.blogspot.com%2F&feature=player_embedded

Now they're going to sue the pimp, his GF and Fox.

Today we have Brooklyn:

http://biggovernment.com/2009/09/14/acorn-video-prostitution-scandal-in-new-york-ny/

And last week ACORN announced they had to fire several workers in Florida for registering false names during the last presidential election.

The Census Bureau also dropped them last week after the first 2 videos came out. These people are getting billions of taxpayer money thanks in part to obama.

You speak of the birther crackpots in the same breath as the ACORN criminals? How wide is your brush mr. met., how wide is your brush??

This thread is about criminal behavior, not a socialist coup d'état

Wait, so ACORN is secretly a front for systematically coaching people on how to bring underage sex workers into this country duty free? I don't understand. I get all of the conspiracy theories confused.

BTW- Did they ever investigate and prosecute the law enforcement officials who went door to door in Florida before the 2000 election and intimidated or lied to minority democratic voters to get them to stay away from the polls? No?

Sorry Eggcream. Not following it. Seems unimportant to me. How many days is it gonna make the cover of The Post and how ridiculous was the picture in Post today? I am bored by this story already, but predict that many a people have their halloween costumes picked out for this year because of it.

so a group that tell people how to avoid taxes, tells how to illegally gain housing and does potential voter fraud doesnt interest you?

    I see...

Do I think that a significant percentage of ACORN's worldly existence is devoted to voter fraud and advising people on smuggling underage prostitutes? No.

I think mostly they do job training, community improvement programs and other things that make our society better.

I think illegally registered voters represent a fraction of the voters they register, and mostly I think they are an easy target for Republicans who have fears of voting participation rising among minorities and immigrants (ie Democratic voters).

Punish ACORN for whatever they do wrong, arrest people involved in prostitution, but otherwise let's find more worthy targets of our rage than a community betterment organization.

Yeah, and lets give a big ole yawn to the "pimp" bringing very young girls from El Salvador to work as prostitutes. Who cares. I mean it's not as important as having Wilson apologize more than once or oh my god his website crashed so he must have shut it down.

Of course you don't. Show me where they do what you said in paragraph 2.

What party wants to stop voter id fraud ( republicans) and what party refuses on the grounds it's racist and affects low income minorities ( libs). Huh, think it would affect ACORNS business? You do know don't you that there are lots of minorities that vote Republican.

On what basis were law enforcement officials able to determine which minority voters were going to vote democratic and therefore intimidate and lie to them only, or do you prejudicially presume that all minorities vote democratic.

voter ID fraud, or illegally registered voters? both represent two different Republican boogeymen.

the idea that voter shennanigans is the dominion purely of Democrats is a joke.
eggcream wrote: You do know don't you that there are lots of minorities that vote Republican.
of course. everyone votes for whoever they want. there are plenty of minority republicans. but in terms of electoral politics? the biggest minority groups vote overwhelmingly democratic. and so not coincidentally, ACORN is a top enemy of Republicans everywhere.

do you really need me to explain how voter intimidation works, for example in poor Democratic-leaning districts in Florida, or are you just making a point?

the Chicago Tribune wrote that "the election of November 8 was characterized by such gross and palpable fraud as to justify the conclusion that [Nixon] was deprived of victory."

"There's no question in my mind that it was stolen," he says. "It was stolen like mad. It was stolen in Chicago and in Texas."
Ed Mazo, was the Washington-based national political correspondent for the New York Herald Tribune.

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A36425-2000Nov16?language=printer

Boygabriel, will you join with me in calling for an investigation of the 1960 election? I know it goes back, way back, further than the liberal Bush hater 8 year rule but .If you do I will set up my card table with my homemade pamphlets next to your card table with your homemade pamphlets and we can demand justice every MayDay.
As we become more marginalized over the years at least we will have each other.

At the urging of Chicago Democrats, Mazo went to Republican areas downstate and looked for fraud there. He found it.

"In downstate Illinois, there was definitely fraud," he says. "The Republicans were having a good time, too. But they didn't have the votes to counterbalance Chicago. There was no purity on either side, except that the Republicans didn't have Daley in their corner--or Lyndon Johnson."

"In Chicago, where Kennedy won by more than 450,000 votes, local reporters uncovered so many stories of electoral shenanigans--including voting by the dead--that the Chicago Tribune concluded that "the election of November 8 was characterized by such gross and palpable fraud as to justify the conclusion that [Nixon] was deprived of victory."

That's why I'm calling for an investigation vidro. It's too easy to cherry pick your facts. Will you help me get to the bottom of this?

"Now, in the confused aftermath of the Gore-Bush race, pundits keep comparing this year's election to the now-legendary campaign of 1960. They say the 1960 election was stolen for John F. Kennedy by the Chicago Democratic machine of Mayor Richard J. Daley, the father of William Daley, Al Gore's campaign manager. They say that Nixon was robbed but that--in an uncharacteristically selfless display of statesmanship--he refused to demand a recount because he feared it would tear the country apart."

I guess lightning doesn't strike twice in the same place?

my point in posting that cherry picked fact, was to counteract your cherry picked fact.

i agree. let us figure out exactly how many votes each side stole in 1960.

The point of posting the entire story was to point out the absurdity of continually fighting the same battles over and over again. The 2000 election is history and like the 1960 election nobody gives a shit.

To your second point, each side indeed, both in 1960 and 2000.

Careful with the S word. I note that FDNY isn't federally or state controlled, at least since the Tweed Charter of 1870, which means it might be a local monopoly subverted by oligarchs. Are we really ready to acknowledge that ceding control to the city of the means of production for putting out fires is an acceptable substitute for direct ownership by a syndicate of firefighting workers?

not controlled by New York State but still controlled by the state. That is, a government institution.

Also, Senate votes to cut off federal funding for ACORN.
