Pepsi's already done it. They're marketing it as "Pepsi Natural" or somesuch crap.
Somehow I know way too much about this topic. Pepsi has released two products this year: Pepsi Natural (tastes like crap) and Pepsi Throwback. The Natural is an all new recipe, and tastes horrible. Pepsi Throwback is the Pepsi recipe with real sugar, which would then be similar to Mexican Coke.

Yes, I have a lot of spare time to learn a lot of useless information.

I never heard of "Pepsi Throwback" (which seems to be a crap name for a soda - don't like it, throw it back)..........but back in the day when Coke and Pepsi both had real sugar, they tasted very different - Pepsi is much sweeter than Coke.

I agree that Pepsi is sweeter than Coke, and the Throwback is sweeter than Mexican Coke. The only place I've seen the Throwback is in Target and on occasion at the Key Food on Flatbush. It was only supposed to be for a limited time, so I have no idea if Target still has it or not (haven't seen it at Key Food in some time).

Virgil's cola, Boylan's cane cola, and Natural Brew cola are much better than Coke, and they're domestic. You can find these for sale all over the Slope.

Found the Pepsi Throwback at Rossman's, but haven't tried it yet. I always prefered Coke over Pepsi, but I still can't find Mexican Coke in S. Slope. Might have to go to the deli near Press.

A couple of times I've seen Mexican Coke at Costco's. Surprised they even carried it. $20 bucks for a pallet of glass coke bottles. Too many for me to buy though. No where to store it.

I was Googling Mexican Coke and it seems to come and go from Costco. When did you last see it there? I'll have to look

Saw it 2 weeks ago at the Costco near Lawrence, LI. Near JFK airport. Not sure if the one on 3rd Ave has it.

Thanks for the compliment, Brownie. I am, however, happily married (but that's open for discussion if you're Neko Case or Eliza Dushku).

Back to the main topic, though. The Costco on 3rd Ave had some Mexican Cokes on sale yesterday (yes, I bought some). And the Met on Vanderbilt has the Pepsi Throwbacks.

^ thanks. I'll head to Costco soon (although my mom just came for a visit this weekend loaded up with Costco supplies). How did they sell them? Is it a whole palette?

It was a case of 24 bottles, I believe (for $20). They didn't have a whole lot on the floor, so they might already be out of stock.
