If Dr. Morehouse has retained legal counsel, he probably can't speak publicly.

I don't know - the whole situation sounds strange to me...it's 3 years later - why didn't the co-workers come forward when it happened - and if it did happen, what does it say about the ASPCA hospital that they let this go by for 3 years.....

I think I'll leave this as innocent until proven guilty - and I've seen no updates on this story in the paper since the original printing.

I don't go to AnimalKind, but I think they would fire him in a heartbeat if they had any suspicion that this was true.....

I think this thread should be put to a rest until there's a real update - it does suck to be accused of something and then be put on "trial" on the internet.

For whatever it's worth, we take our pooch to Animal Kind and have had nothing but good experiences with them.

I would never use Animal Kind. I only use Bay Ridge Animal Hospital. they are the best.

So petsitter07 is that the only reason you reactivated this thread with no new information?

What's the matter? Didn't Animal Kind let you post your dog-walking flyers yesterday?

sounds like Pastoralia has inside information.
Yep... I have nothing to say on this thread till the situation is resolved and I feel lots of people agree with me.

Good hunch on that Veets; I definitely feel the same way at any rate.

I don't need to put flyers in Animal Kind! I have enough business.

People need to know what kind of Vets work at Animal Kind.

Dr. Morehead was our vet for several years and we had nothing but positive experiences with him. He was thoughtful, kind, thorough, and very helpful.

I think if you want any credibility on this subject you need to explain your issues with Animal Kind.

I have had 2 dogs over the years, and for the last 11 years have never had anything but stellar experiences at AK. What have your experiences been or are you just spewing venom for no reason?

Pettsitter07.. I respectfully suggest that if you have something to say about Animal Kind that you start a new thread and clearly state what it is you have to communicate. Unless what you have to say does have something to do with Dr. Moorehead then it does not belong on this thread.

    OK, I'm weighing in.
We've used Animal Kind for over 15 years and been through all types of situations with our cats young and old. We have always received excellent, caring, kind treatment from the vets we've seen. I am glad they are here in the neighborhood and would recommend them to any pet owner.

would it be possible for a mod to come in and lock this thread? it's gone on long enough, there's no new info, dr gibson came in and made the case, and it's done.

    lock it.

Well, our cat was never punched or kicked, but we always found it to be an awful experience dealing with them, from the front desk staff to the vet techs. Something as simple as refilling meds is an ordeal.

One vet there seemed sweet but then she let a tech totally man-handle our cat. She is a nine-pound sixteen-year-old cat. That's like wrestling someone's grandma to the ground. Anyway, they've always been disorganized and uncaring. Not kind at all. So we've been going to Hope on Atlantic. Kitty likes Hope and so do we.

No idea whether or not these other allegations are true. Even if they're not, I'd never recommend Animal Kind.

There is a big difference between rude service and accusations of animal cruelty. Your apparent indifference to the distinction is gross.

I agree with BP - enough already. These are unproven allegations and to keep this thread active is just not fair. I've seen threads locked for much less. MODS???

You're right. I didn't mean to seem indifferent. It's awful to be accused of something like that if it's not true. I guess my point was, even before the accusations, my cat and I had multiple bad experiences there.

Just wanted to add to the positives for AK and Dr. Morehead.

We've taken our cat for the past two years to AK, and each time, have seen Dr. Morehead. He's been nothing but exceptional in working with our cat, treating her wonderfully every visit, and even calling her "pumpkin". I find his demeanor and concern to be genuine, and have grown to trust his suggestions and thoughts. I found this story a vast contrast to the Dr. Morehead I know, and I hope to see it put to rest as soon as possible.
