Take out food from Carneveinto (Gran Castillo de Jagua) on the corner or Albaz or Antonio's across the street, or order in to the bar from somewhere.

    Come meet your Brooklynian neighbors!

    Additional Agenda Items:
    1. Not to go all George Bernard Shaw on your ass, but if "globaled" and "sticky'd" are words, why the orthographic inconsistency? Why not "global'd" and "sticky'd" or (my preference) "globaled" and "stickied"?
    2. "Give a man a ghoti, and he eats for a day. Teach a man to ghoti and and eats for a lifetime." Discuss.

I don't know if I really want to meet any one from the site. It's fun not knowing who folks are except...for their dog/cat/alien/funny monikers and pics. I like imagining who folks might be.
    Oh brother.

hint - i'm not a man (apparently a common misconception.) You might be surprised, actually... it might be fun to try to guess everyones usernames based on their actual appearances...

While StoopLady is not drinking, we could make her guess our identities.
...Dude would stay home so he didn't give me away.

lneson: An orthographically inconsistent person is unlikely to know that's what they are being. just sayin'

Is the "definitely no" vote interesting at all? Wouldn't "Maybe" be more of interest? I mean..do we not meet if there are more no than yes votes?

I don't care about the "no"s. It's just that the site requires at least 2 poll options, and I definitely didn't want a "maybe" option, because I want a real head count and "maybe" really means "probably not." Also, "maybe"s ultimately turn into "yes"s or "no"s, and then it's too late to change the poll answer, and it becomes impossible to tally. I'd rather people just don't answer until they know if they can come. There's no rush to know whether someone MIGHT come.

Anyway, I think we already have a quorum, so this is a go.

When I talked to Sharlene last time, her requirements for dogs are basically what you'd except. They need to behave like a patron would: no pissing on the floor, barking at strangers, humping people they don't know.... :P So if your dog is well behaved then she has no problem with having them at the bar.

Why not, "Yes, but not on time?" I would've put myself in that column.
Or "My dog/cat/avatar is definitely coming, but I have something else to do that night."

I'm gonna try to make it, and am looking forward to meeting people in real life, even though I feel a little shy.
Whynot, I think I will recognize you because we met when you did some contractory-y stuff in my apartment.

I've never gone to any of the Brooklynian outings before and I don't post here all that often, but I lurk constantly. Although I'm a bit on the shy side I'm quite interested in meeting you folks and getting to know a few more people in the neighborhood...so I'm going to try to come out, but I can't give this a definite "yes" vote just yet.

Dude is no dog - he is a tiny Yoda-ish man in a dog's coat.
