Oh, man, it makes me crave ice cream!!!!

I grew up in a flat land. When thunderstorms came (and they did), we would make ice cream cones and watch the drama from the front porch. So every time there's thunder and lightning, I want an ice cream cone.

Yo.. walk around the corner.. I got ice cream and a Back porch.

Yeah I had the same thought about gardening early but I am sitting here at the computer and I have been up for hours. Somehow gardening in an afternoon thunder storm has no appeal.

Come around the corner.. gorgeous Clematis and Salvia... It is the garden's "purple" time of the season.

Transplanted the violets just in time and made a lovely border. I will be headed past your house tomorrow and will be sure to stop and gaze - I love salvia!!

Having grown up with dogs who HATED thunderstorms, I have just now learned to tolerate them. Still hate the local fireworks of 4th of July though...

Veets, I passed by yesterday - that salvia is so gorgeously purple, and the clematis is so wonderful!!! It made me smile.

ljnd...and more pretty things to bloom and plant!

my salvia just popped last week - right after I transplanted it. It makes me smile. I'll have to remember to drive by your house and check it out.
