Walked by 90 Grados yesterday and- SHOCK!- ALL the paintings of prostitute looking women are GONE. The banner with the name was half hanging and guys were removing the Diner signes underneather the banner. One door on 4th Ave still has signage for 90 Grados but......... maybe they closed? Moved to 3rd ave?

They went back to being a Mexican restaurant. There was pressure coming from residents and elected officials so I guess the owner caved in. I met the owner when it was the Moonlight Diner. He seemed to be a nice guy who was trying to stay in business. I think the problem is the place is just too big, bigger than the Sunset diner on 5th Ave (just one block away.) I guess he thought the bar would be an easy way to make money. There's a lot of competition in the area food-wise and I heard the commercial rents are high. I don't know why I am making a serious post on this subject here other than the fact that it is raining and I am home today.
