Hello All, Still impatient regarding full recovery. Will see Cardiologist on Thursday and ask him about it.

Getting our Christmas Cards out today! I addressed them yesterday while feeling sorry for myself being so weak. I feel like a woosie! Just need a couple of stocking stuffers for Carol otherwise shopping is done. Completed most of it before going into the hospital. My decorations this year will be greatly lacking. By now I usually have the outside and inside all done. Have a couple of wreaths on my outside lights with red & green bulbs. Hope to get more done today and tomorrow (if Carol lets me) I wrote a short Christmas story last year and posted it. I will post it again later for those who perhaps did not see it last year or those who just like to read these type stories. (where are the emoticons?)

A CHRISTMAS STORY BY OLD GOAT

(To keep all lawyers happy I will admit that much of this story is adapted from different author’s writings. I especially pay homage to Matthew, Mark Luke & John who gave us the original.)

Little Johnny came to his father in early December and said ”Daddy, some of the boys in my class said Santa is make believe and a fake!” I told them that I would ask you and then I would know the truth. Well Daddy, what is the truth.

Son, first let me ask you if you enjoy giving gifts to people at Christmas time. Well yes Johnny said, I like the look in their eyes and the happiness in their face when they open them. I know I made someone happy. Son, the beginning of the Christmas story started in a stable over 2000 years ago. The baby Jesus was born and people came from far & wide to pay homage to him. Three kings came and brought gifts of Gold and precious fragrances . Gift giving started way back then. Some time later people began giving gifts to each other to show their love and gratitude to others. In different countries the one in charge of the gift giving was called different names. There was St. Nicholas, Father Christmas and many others including Santa Claus. Now Mommy & Daddy know that Santa has an awfully big task to get all the presents that people want all in one night, Christmas eve. So Mommies & Daddies all over the world pitch in and buy gifts and become Santa’s helpers.

It is easy to say, like your friends, no, there is no Santa. But the spirit of Christmas has prevailed for over those 2000 years since Jesus was born. I for one am not going to take the chance of saying that spirit does not exist because I want to wake up on Christmas morning and find many of the gifts I hoped for

PATSY....Yes, It is a awful thing of what happened to P.O.FOGOSKI....There are no words that can be said to comfort this family, or to express the outrage and anger I have every time a person -let alone a Police Officer- is senselessly murdered by a handgun. I have such a passionate view and strong Hatred towards HANDGUNS. But that rant is for another day.

JUDY...Anthony is having his surgery today...He might even be done by now.

WARREN....You are a GEM and a Main contributor to the life of this blog. We all like hearing from you and really enjoy your stories.

Good Morning all.....

Spoke to A Umbria yesterday.....All is well with him....Surgery was a success....and the wise guy said to me, "now that I can see again, I saw your picture on line and you're UGLY".....LOL. I am happy for him that he is feeling good and is getting back to the Anthony that we all love and know. MERRY CHRISTMAS Dude, You got your Present 2 weeks early.

I just seen on facebook that Joe Orlando's father passed away this morning....my deepest sympathies to Joe and his whole family. Sending all our prayers your way during this very difficult time.

Joey Pinto....I sit here and weep for my friend and his family

Me and Joe grew up together in Park Slope, Brooklyn. We went to school together, we served as alter boys together in our church, and we play our first musical notes together in a basement of another friend after school. We did lots of "Firsts" together. I long and Cherished Friendship though out all these years. I know his Brothers & Sister, I Knew his Mom & Dad. They all are a part of who I am. Today I grieve for their lost, for, it is my lost also. I grieve again for a friend and his family who I never forgot, and always loved. God Bless You All....Rest In Peace, Mr. Orlando. You have raised a wonderful family and your children will always be proud and I will always be grateful to have known you all.
