I passed the place about two weeks ago, and it wasn't ready to reopen yet.

i live close to this spot and have gotten to know the owner a little bit (i don't know his names so i've always referred to him as mr. nino). he's decided to retire and his nephew and a partner are taking over the business. the mr. nino will still be involved on a small level and will still be seen in the shop from time to time.

as for opening, still not sure. i see work being down a few days out of the week but progress has slowed down.

i've seen mr. nino since closing for renovations and he looks much happier. :)

I assume it probably tastes the same as it used to taste? Is it actually a "new" restaurant, or just a remodel and name change?

How about, for a while there was no pizza here, and now there is again?

I stopped by tonight. A remnant of the old Ninos globe sign is still up.

The shop will be closed on Mondays for now but it will be open seven days soon.

They serve Boylans soda at the fountain.

@jfinks yessss........i think it tastes similar to the previous place. a. i was a little drunk when i ate it b. its affiliated with the previous owner. wouldn't be surprised if they're using the same recipes for now.

Good enough for me! I always loved their pizza. Solid, no frills Brooklyn pies.
