My ankles got seriously munched again last week at the Franklin Avenue shuttle stop. I was wearing capris and by the time the train arrived I had about ten bites. WTF?! It hasn't even rained much lately! There must be some standing water somewhere around that little tunnel.

ugh. what's screwy is that it isn't that hard to spray for mosquitoes - non-toxic stuff - misting oil (the not bad kind) from a crop-duster type plane clogs up their little breathing whozits and kills them. not sure why the city isn't doing this - it's totally impractical on a household cure, though, b/c well, who wants to slip and fall in their olive oil misted apartment??

not sure if it works with mosquitoes but pennyroyal oil is magical against fleas. when I've stayed in some 3rd world countries, slipping a few liberally doused cotton balls between the sheets & the mattress has saved me pain & suffering.

Fuckers bit BOTH sides of my ass 2 nights ago and spent the night buzzing in my ears making me smack myself in the head several times trying to kill 'em. :evil: :twisted:

Yeah, it's not as bad as last year, but it's still really annoying. One of those flying bugs bit my bottom lip on the left side and it looked like someone punched me in my sleep. Looked like a light brown Mick Jagger. It was really wack. Skin got all tight and itchy and it hurt to boot. Hope the mosquitos don't last through December like they did last year.

weird. somehow we haven't had any of those suckers yet this year. i keep expecting them...

i saw (and was chewed on by) approximately 100,000,000,000 of those stripey jobbies at the garden today. there are always a lot of mosquitos there, but today it was particularly that kind -- maybe they like it right after a rain?

Aren't these suckers supposed to die after the bite you - I swear they're on steroids these days - the bite you 4 or 5 times at once. It's unbearable!
