if he were on a tv show, it would be that one about hoarders. I've never seen a dog so interested in stoop sales and free boxes. He piles all the pieces of torn up stuffed animals and his rubber toys on his bed and nuzzles his face into them for naps.

my college kitteh was/is a hoarder. when i would bring him home on breaks to visit my parents, he would steal toys from the resident kitties and hide them way in the back of his carrier, and i would never notice until we got back to my apartment. he doesn't travel much anymore (lives with my parents, ), but he has a basket in the dining room that he stashes things in--all of his toys, and all of everybody else's toys (including a teddy bear that is almost as big as him, and three golf balls that he found god knows where), and things that are not toys but that have caught his attention anyway, like christmas bows and bottle caps. he sleeps on top of the whole mess like a nesting hen. if you go near the basket, he runs over and watches your every move to make sure you aren't stealing any of his loot.

Here's the latest on Don Gato. He's had a rough week and was very sick, but coming out of it now. Yesterday he was sleeping in the sun after his meds:
