FYI- for anyone who cares- that was the night of First Saturday at the Museum. Ripple hands out flyers there to get the after party crowd. Maybe they're targeting the Clorox crowd?

Wrong night. Nice Try. Anyway. The point was, as I'm listening to "White People" ha, ha, and druuuuuunk, was that Washington ave really seemed way different at one point. Furthermore, I was in the East (a/F) village and got out of a cab and blinded by the light so to say.......

Just was weird. OK? There should be nothing more read into the initial post.

And nothing more should be read into "I got out of my cab in Bed-Stuy and it was like someone had turned out the lights it was so dark."

No sense having a standard unless you can double it.

What LeeHo is saying is that he was surprised to see that many white people at that place and time. If you wanted to turn it around the proper analogy might be something like "I got out in Maine and saw a bunch of black people".

I don't think that anyone has a problem with or misunderstands his observation, it's the manner in which he's related it. Your example is not apples-to-apples because it doesn't contain a descriptive that could be considered derogatory.

Yeah, but Joy really scrubs up nicely, too.

Busted! I am SO telling Dawn.

When I was in college, Polytech of NY, I had a classmate whose name was Dawn. She was a beauty. While in class one day, I was busted by the professor for day dreaming. He wanted to know what I was thinking about that made it impossible for me to participate in a discussion. The class was Strength of Materials. I blurted out that I wanted to wake up at the crack of Dawn. The whole class broke out in laughter. I quickly forgot about dating her.

Nope, she was embarrassed. It was funny, but I didn't have the guts to ask her out.
I was a major practical joker in college.

You know, when I was junior high school, we had this science teacher that was ex-Marine. He used to mix Jack Daniels with his coffee. I put tacks on his chair and taped them down.

Here's something I did in college. A light smear of peanut butter on white toilet paper. Leave it on the professor's desk.
