The Bell Man

Has anyone seen (or heard) this guy who rings a bell, presumably, on his way to church on Sunday morning. He woke me up like clockwork for about three weeks in a row and I'd always go to see who the hell was ringing a bell at 9 o'clock in the GD morning. Finally I got a couple of snapshots of him and he quit waking me up.

I'd go with either maple syrup balloons or Wesson balloons. If he comes back again after that, bleach balloons.

    Wow... Harsh guys!!

I was annoyed at first, but I chalk Bell Guy up to neighborhood character and Haitian religious wierdness. He's not so bad once you get a snapshot to prove hes for real.

Its amazing how you suddenly know how to put together a sentence that actually makes sense when you're putting words in my mouth Armchair!

I gotta give you props on your new facade and railing Armchair, the improvements will look particularly good this fall. But if your workers ever wake me up on Sunday morning again - I might have to take a shit in the hole in your roof!

yeap, i hate being awaken in the mornings on the weekends. i hated those guys who trying to save me all the time. it used to come like clock work every few saturdays. one day i decided to I dont english. so next time they send over a chinese guy. and than i told him i didnt speak chinese. and well after that they send me some nice looking girl. i try to convert her into a agnostic person :P.

but still they should stop bothering people.

i now days always engage them with history and philosophy. logic works on some :P.

Yeah, the Jehovas Witnesses are out in force in Brooklyn. You know, Brooklyn Heights is their Holy City! I try to blow them off too, but I'm always tempted to engage them to see what happens.

No Joke though Armchair, I love what you've done with the place!

I think you just need to learn to sleep more deeply! I live on the first floor, and I only notice the bell guy if I'm already awake when he passes by.

I should say he is her contractor. cuase his been doing renos for her and my dad for like 2 decades.

i could hear water drip and bird songs if there is a nest infront of my house. i wake up with less than one ring of the alarm.

I always tell myself the next time Jehovahs come to my door I'm going to try to debate/discuss with them. But they always come at 9 am and I'm hung over and not in the mood.

Once I told them I would simply never believe in a religion that rejects all other religions as invalid. They looked at me like I was crazy, said, "interesting," walked away and didn't come back for at least a few months.

Lots of Witnesses out there. A few times I've declined Awake! by saying "sorry, atheist". I have to admit they are uniformly pleasant about it. A friend who is a Witness told me that the church has been trying to tone things down a bit over the last few years. This was at a LAN party at his house, in between tequila shots and bouts of killing each other. Go figure. But he had Watchtower going all the way back to the 50s.

BTW, my boss has been hanging out in Stamford of all places, and he always comes back drooling over how the whole town is infested with hot hot chicks. Haven't hung out there myself. Just an FYI.

Suggest next time you try 'sorry, Satanist'. And then over your shoulder, 'honey, did you find a virgin yet for tonight's ritual?'.

I would, but I'm trying to get my own religion off the ground right now and don't need the competition. It combines the intellectual rigor of Creationism with the good common sense of Scientology. I call it Creationtology.

Very few realize that the world was actually created 6,000 years ago by L Ron Hubbard, in order to provide a market for his science fiction writing. Large donations are always accepted, and just might save your eternal soul.
