8am games at the Parade Grounds would go from awful to awesome were this an accurate representation of the typical soccer dad. Sigh.

the red hook ballfield dudes are teh hott. but they're also actually playing soccer. and running around in shorts. I guess the shorts are a given but always a nice surprise.

Not just any old kid will do, however. They must be adorable, well behaved, and expensively dressed.

And the other adornment that will get a man in PS a hit upon is a small, well groomed adorable toy breed dog.. Think man carrying a Maltese, Yorkie or Shitzu.. The dog and the man perfectly groomed of course.. the dog wearing a red winter coat (in season) and the man wearing a matching red beret.. And don't think Gay man... because a man that ventures out in that regalia is so over the top that women perceive him as straight (and brave ) and available and secure and will hit on him!

Hey now....there are a lot of single dads out there - especially on the weekends. My friend takes his boys to play soccer on the weekends and he's divorced. I know another guy who is a widower - very young, too.

She did ASK if he was single....you never know. It's not like she was trying to purposely hit on a married guy

Really? I tend to assume a guy with kids is married unless there's substantial evidence indicating he isn't. And to be honest, I'd be nervous about getting involved with someone who's got kids. Even if they don't live with him 24/7, that's a lot to take on.

I guess this is all different strokes. I have never even considered hitting on a guy with kids or a guy accompanied by a tiny, toy dog. I've never let a girlfriend, though, get in my way.
