    Subject: A real missed connection

You tall brunette on the first car of the 2/3 train.

Me, some joker usually too engrossed in whatever is playing on the iPod.

We seem to take the same ride every morning - change to 4/5 at Nevins street, get off at Grand Central.

I wonder what it would be like to have a conversation on ride in rather than just staring off into space.....

    Subject: Hello?

You, wearing your blue postal outfit having the key to the heart of my mailbox.
Me, yearning in sweet anticipation for my sorted, neatly piled mail.
It been forever since I've seen you. What went wrong?
Was it something I said or did? Is it really over now?

Alas, all I have to remember you by is the scattered, trampled pile of mail on the entrance floor.

Well since this Thread has been revived. I saw this cute chick in Mitchells a few weeks ago ordering sandwhiches. We chatted a bit about your parking ticket issues, and then poof you were off to eat your 5lb heroes.

To the young asian guy on the D train uptown this morning before 9am.
You were wearing a nice black wool coat and black slacks, light colored shirt.
You should know that around Grand st. a mother and child that were seated left, and the kids seat was wet with what everyone can only assume was piss.

We ALL avoided sitting down, but a stop or so later you sat down on the wet seat with out a second thought.

Did you think to look down? I felt bad for you but the whole ride you didn't seem to notice. Oh well.

Seriously, the subway is nasty. Look down before you sit.

To the mother on the Brooklyn bound #2 train last night, around 8:15pm somewhere between Boro Hall, I think you got off at Atlantic. You had a single child with you, a boy, maybe eight years old. He was sitting, you were standing. You have the most amazing dark skin, it is so smooth, unblemished, and incredible. Your son has the exact same skin. You should be models, except that you would put the airbrush guys out of work and I'm sure the unions would never stand for that.

If anybody on DH from PH actually did make an MC it would be kinda like getting with a family member, and that would be gross.

I totally disagree! I mean, I know a ton of the regular posters personally but the whole goal of this exercise is to get with some stranger who is a lurker. right? right?? and lurkers aren't family ...

    are they?

well. maybe they're kinda ... third cousins, twice-removed?

Mohawk guy was back this morning... he reminds me of a floresent orange rooster (in a good way). Tight black pants with his white socks showing. I still wonder where a guy with orange mohawk is going at 8 AM. Or maybe he is on his way home.

I saw this guy last night when I was at Hood Hing. I know where he lives. And he looks like a jackass from the 80s with that fucking hair.

Not too big on manners huh?

You can blame my husband for giving me healthy self-esteem.

FYI to everyone else: This dude (brooklynboy3) just sent me a PM yesterday saying I look sad. Happy, sad--I must be bi-polar and I don't know it!

Umm, yeah, wasn't gonna call the guy out until I saw this post, but how about I got a PM from the same user, telling me he's sorry I choked? which must be a response to an old post I put on this thread. Maybe he's PM'ing all the chicks on this board.

NO F**KING WAY! This guy rules! He entertained me and a few Aussie tourists one Sunday afternoon. I never ride the 4,5 anymore...but man love to see this dude again.

My favorite line of his: "I can turn a limousine into a hearse."

ahahaha! So I guess his missed connection would be:

I read about your recent head injury/mugging/loss of small child's hat. I really feel for you and think that I could identify with whatever hardship has recently befallen you. Please PM me--or pass this on to your other female friend.

It's spring (at least according to the calendar) and people hanging out on all the back patios around should populate this thread in no time.

You: Dude at Franklin Park two Sundays ago, chain smoking and staring down me and Whatchuwant while waiting for your friends to arrive. Black engineer cap, scruffy, glasses, tall, slightly anti-social.

Me: not quite on the market, but plan to hang out there a lot more often if the entertainment factor is shaping like it has so far.
