New liquor store at 810 Nostrand, "Simple Syrup"

They are installing a new security gate. And liqour license is active as of 10/11/2016.

I expect them to offer brands that are not available at any of the existing liquor stores on Nostrand.

...and be patronized by people who could easily entertain themselves for 30 minutes discussing the difference between scotch, bourbon, whiskey, rye whiskey, etc.

Always rye whisky. Always.

I like the beverages far more than the endless discussions about the beverages.

the alcoholic in me is pumped!

I want to be excited, wino that I am. But the number of good NYS wines is a pretty short list.

that gal in the picture was really pleasant.  great ambassador for the store.  it was a bit hectic in there but I think they'll do really well.

Can we change this thread name to Simple Syrup? I stopped by and bought a bottle of wine today. The inventory is pretty low (for now) but the bottle I got was excellent...and under $20. Quite a steal!

I got two bottles of wine which were great recommendations from them.  

So nice to buy wine without looking at bullet proof glass. Hope the other stores take a hint.
