What really excites me is that fact that I have all 3 seasons of "Land of the Lost" coming from Netflix next week. I actually rock the theme song on my MP3 player on a regular basis.

I was reading that there's a movie adaptation coming out starring Will Ferrill as the father. Sounds kind of lame. Here's hoping it won't be. I loved that show. I really, really wanted to be a Sleestak. I think I still do.

i liked the Thundercats (Cheetara- is it wrong that i had the hots for a cartoon character?!), but i was a big fan of the Silverhawks...

Since this thread has become a general rehashing of childhood favorites, who else marks Transformers The Movie as their first mindblowing animated experience?!

at the time, i couldn't believe that they killed anyone!!! there was death and destruction all over the place!!! i mean, this was about the same time that the animators were careful enough to show pilots parachuting to safety every time a plane was shot down in GI Joe...

upon turning 14, i decided that i was too old be to playing with toys, so i gave my entire collection of Transformers and He-Man action figures away to my next door neighbor that was a couple years younger than me... the ones that i really regret now are the very early Transformers that were made of metal, not plastic...

As for me, I was a My Little Pony fan. I had about 25 of them, including regular ponies, unicorns, pegasi, sea ponies, baby ponies, baby unicorns, baby pegasi, baby sea ponies, the stables, the hair salon, the roller skates, various outfits, and other paraphenalia that I'm surely forgetting. I gave them all away to my friend's little sister at some point, but, in my defense, there was no eBay at that point. They probably weren't worth anything at the time, but it's scary how crazy collectors are about the '80s ones today.

I've been reading these posts for twenty minutes and alternating between sighing and laughing my butt off. Good memories.

I also had a big crush on Atreyu, and the fascination has continued longer than it should have. Last year I was convinced that Noah Hathaway gre up to become Noah Wyle, but I was wrong. Sigh. Now there's a sequel to The Dark Crystal in the works. Also, sigh.

In the spirit of contributing to the stroll down memory lane--who remembers Kid Video and the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon?

Maybe this doesn't quite count, since I didn't give them away myself, but when I was in college my mother gave away my Charlie's Angels dolls. I even had the Cheryl Ladd replacement doll. I didn't speak to my mother for two weeks.

Aquaman is the king of Atlantis. His power is to telepathically communicate with fish.
He was one of the original Superfriends, but was kind of useless except when the plot took them underwater.

Here you can see a comic cover with how Aquaman looks now (much more badass) next to a statue of the old Aquaman. He lost his hand while rescuing his son when his brother tried to usurp his throne and attack the surface world.

i was a big fan of them both, but almost no one seems to remember Kid Video! i always have to explain it to people, "so, these kids are rockin' out in the garage, right? then they get sucked in to a cartoon world... and the main guys says, 'we look like.... cartoons.' you don't remember that?!?!" alas, they never do...

and the D&D cartoon?!?! i used to get up early to watch that! i could never decide if i wanted the club or the bow...

Definitely the bow.

the bow was undoubtably more refined, but there was just something primative (and brutal!) about the club... to make the earth tremble with the swing of a club?! are you kidding me?!
