Carneviento Paparazzi!

I was heading back home from a Subway run, and saw a hipster guy taking a digital picture of the Carneviento!

Here's documentation of the newly-clean carneviento. For the record, it was taken with permission so they can present their new image.



I had lunch there today and was talking to the guys behind the counter. As we surmised, they are well aware of the carneviento discussion and pic. As it turns out, they were lucky, because an inspector came the day after they cleaned it.

Whew! I would have been totally pissed if that place got closed because someone here reported them! :x :x :x :x

I didn't ask them that directly, but I think someone told them. The main guy I was talking to said that someone showed him "the picture."

I think he was actually wrong about the rule though. The vent doesn't really vent the kitchen. It vents the takeout area. I'm not sure there's any regulation that says that all vents have to go to the roof.
