AIR HOCKEY THROWDOWN- Brownstone Billiards Thurs 2/8 at 7pm

I'll be there--as the wide-eyed, bewildered girl in disbelief that she's playing air hockey with complete strangers off the internet.

I might like to go, air hockey is a favorite of mine.

2/8 it is. I have a feeling Albaz will be cooking up a few extra burgers that night.

A little Southpaw poker sounds pretty good too. Might have to check that out. at some point.

You should definitely come. They have 3 or 4 tables, so if we have a big group, it's still not like everyone will be sitting around waiting to play.

It's a shame, not even a faint "Booya" to be had? I too have noticed that the "Trash Talk" is at a deficit. Here is some multi-lingual trash talk from the Spelling Bee at Freddy's. It's true copy editors are about as vicous as poets, but you've gotta do better than this.

Um, I'm not an expert on this, but are the reno's completed at Brownstone? I was there last month and the air hockey was sadly nowhere to be seen. But maybe they've finished by now.

also, is BB still byob/brownbag? I hear talk of a bar of some sort in the space post-renovation.

i was brownbagging the hell out of it last time i was there (few weeks ago), and nobody batted as much as an eyelash.

Marcheesie of Queensborough, natch.I just poked my head into BB's--three proud air hockey tables were sitting there in one of the newly renovated sections, just waitin' for some no-holds-barred, puck-flyin' action. The tables are a little closer together than they used to be, so elbows/victory dances may have to be minded.The bar space is still getting finished, so this may be one of the last chances to brownbag 'er.
