Fairway Fieldtrip — Brooklynian

Fairway Fieldtrip

Hey just throwing this out there, curious if any neighbors would be interested...I'm a member of zipcar, and there's a garage on Underhill around St. Marks or something like that...Thinking one of these nights I'd rent a car w/ my boyf and take a fieldtrip for groceries at the Fairway in Red Hook...would probably be a total of 2-3 hours (yes, it would take that long, door to door. That Fairway is massive and we're gonna stock up like it's 28 Days outside...)

Anyway, it would only be worth it to us if we could get 2 other parties to join us, and we could split the zipcar. For 3 hours, 3 parties total, it would be about 10 buckaroos / party.

Sure, freshdirect's delivery is cheaper but not by much...And that Fairway is truly awesome...

Are you renting a cargo van or Chevy Subburan?

Have you thought about using your metro card to get there and taking a car service back for the same price or less?

  • Subject: Fairway Party

I'd be interested if you're going to do this periodically. Just did a Fairway run, but would be ready again in a couple of weeks. Live nearby on Plaza St.

  • I would love to be part of a car share like this! I live in CH, and would happily chip in a bit extra for the drop off home.

Maybe they do deliver, but I think you have to rush home to take delivery, not always easy from Red Hook.

PM me if you need another!
