Mugging on Sterling/Vandy???

Last night I was walking my dog about 9:30 and there was a group of people gathered outside the school on Sterling just off Vandy. I noticed that one of the people had a bloodied face and the others were talking about how they saw guys run down Vanderbilt. Today I walked past and there was a large amount of blood on the sidewalk in front of the school

I didnt stop to investigate more because there were already about 10 people there and two cop cars. Anyone know what happened?

At the time of the incident the victim was reporting that there was no robbery and that it was just an assault. He wasn't in the best shape so if he realizes today that his iphone is missing...
