Furniture Donation — Brooklynian

Furniture Donation

I just posted a free couch in the Classifieds section (as well as on Freecycle Brooklyn and Craigslist).

I really need it out or promised to someone by the end of this week. Does anyone know of a place who will take it as a donation? It's not in perfect shape - definitely well-loved - but I hate to have it go sit in a landfill as it's totally comfortable and useful.

Pet-, smoke-, and bug-free!

Here are photos and more info: http://newyork.craigslist.org/brk/fur/608566635.html

Thx!

EDITED to mention that it's bug-free!

  • Stuffed furniture is hard to donate (bedbugs) BUT, you might be able to donate it to Furnish a Future (for a time, they were specifically looking for couches).

  • Thanks for the tip!
  • Try Housing Works in Brooklyn Heights. They've taken rugs from me before.
